Guest bigjim240z Posted September 17, 2002 Share Posted September 17, 2002 ok my chrome is shot on my 240z bumpers...so i called the chrome shop and they want too much for me right now..like 500 to shave and chrome the bumpers..so im gona weld up the holes..grind them clean..do any filling i need to do with bondo or fiberglass resin...all this is easy..im just worried that the paint wont stick good on the chrome...anything i can do to insure that it will stick?..i will sand the chrome with 220 then 400..is this enough?..or a metal etch primer?..any help is appreciated..jim Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
