ratedZ
I'm finally getting around to painting my wheels that I've had sitting in the garage for over a year I just got some real nice tires for them (225/60/ZR15's Potenzas) and would like to know if there are any tips to painting the mesh part of the wheels. The outer lip is in good condition and so is the mesh part...it's currently painted in gold with no signs of flaking etc. Do I just sand the face or do I have to sand everything down to metal...if you've seen the weels I'm talking about you know it won't be an easy job to sand the mesh. I went to Autozone last night to check up on some paint but I haven't decided on what type of paint I'm going to be using...anyone have a suggestion? Should I clear coat it after the black paint is on? Should I use paint that will stop rust? Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.
