Guest Slvrhase
OK, I have searched this site for what seems like two days and have not found answers to these questions. Can PPG's DP40 be recoated after it has fully cured (say, three days later)? What is the best primer/surfacer that you have had experience with? Will the DP40 need sanded and re-shot to apply the first coat of P/S? Yes, I could ask the guys at the paint supply, but they sometimes don't have any actual experience with their product and I have been led astray before! Thanks for any help! Guest Anonymous
Try www.ppg.com then do a search on their site for the information you need. It`s probably in vehicle refinishing

Guest Slvrhase
Exactly what I needed to know! RacerX, thanks for the info. I just sand blasted, prepped, and applied a coat of DP and was concerned when it came time (and it's warm enough) to recoat. Thanks to all for the help! You all are the best! What Primer/Surfacer is the best under single stage paints? Just like to know what works!
Guest Slvrhase
RacerX, I really appreciate your help, it is good to get info from someone who has actually used the products and know what works! Thanks again. I was able to get two coats on the bottom side but ran short on the top side and was planning on applying at the least two more coats. Just wish I had a heated shop so I could get this thing painted. Trying to work around weekends just to get something done! Anyway, thanks for the advice. Chuck.
