  1. I wouldn't drive it that way , not a good idea. I have seen a pressure plate come apart and it is not pretty. It looked like a grenade went off literally. With all the holes through the car.
  2. Only two in the state. One is in Springfield and the other is near Oregon City. I can buy a new bumper for a little more than what they charge. There prices are less than a dollar difference. I don't have that kind of budget. I borrowed a bumper for the Ptln, Roadster Show. I just found this shop in Denver and wondered what there quality might be like. There prices that I have been told are reasonable even with the shipping. Yes another Screaming Yellow Zonker LOL
  3. I am looking for a chrome plater and was told of a plater in Denver. Denver Bumper Works Inc. Has anyone used them or heard of the quality they produce? I did a search and came up empty. I would like some input before I ship my bumper. The Z driver that told me of the place said it was doing good work , but I would like another opinion. I live in Oregon so am not able to see there work in person. Thanks
  4. I have been putting magnets on my oil filters for over 30 years and have never had one fall off. If the magnet is strong enough to attract metal shavings , it will be strong enough to hold to the filter can. Gary
  5. If you are thinking stroker you better have DEEP POCKETS . The cylinders can be done with the engine in place. NOT recommended . How bad is the oil use ? With out honeing the cylinders , what about taper and any ridge from the old rings ? I don't think you will find the repair to be satisfactory at best. The rings depend on the hone marks to help them seat to the cylinder walls . Honeing the engine in place ,you will have grinder dust and some metal dust in the engine . If you are planning on a major rebuild next year , why don't you wait untill then and do it right ? .
  6. This is for do888 I don't know if I have a weard head but my P-79 head on a '82ZX engine I put in my 240 has only four holes threaded to bolt down the intake along the top. I am going to run SUs also. I made spacers for the two center bolts so that the washers would be supported from all sides . I had asked other Z drivers and no one else had come accross the same problem. The rest of the bolt pattern is the same as for all Z heads . Gary
  7. This is most likely been ask many times but please bare with me I did a search and came up dry. What I am looking for is a sorce for the rubber that attaches to the door that acts like a sgueegee to help keep the water out of the door. I have found the chrome stips with the rubber attached but $100. for two strips of rubber with chrome attached is hard to swallow. Is there any one that can steer me to a sorce for just the rubber ? This is for a 240 . Thanks Gary
