  1. hey,i read at alot of thread about backspacing but have any one every had 6inch backspace on a wheel with coilover that fits zcar.the wheel is for the rear, they are 11.5 wheels.
  2. thanks olderthamne for the infor it make me feel better.
  3. hey, well the thing is i am waiting for the wheels they were order a month ago and should get them soon i thought that i got 15/10 but i order 15/10.5 so i will have to make it fit.
  4. hey, what do you guys think of this set up and if it would work.i wanted to get set wheels 15/8 front and the rear 15/10.5 the only thing is that the 10.5 wheels come with -6 offset so it about 5.5 backspace.do think it could fit,i am running coilovers.or would i need like a half inch spacer.
  5. hello,i need a bit of help, tring to order some wheels but finding it very hard, first off the wheel i had on there was 18/8.5 in the front +35 offset with a 2inch adapter and the rear 18/9.5 with +20 offset and 2inch adapters, well now i want to run 15 inch wheels i was thinking something like 15/11.5 with +6 offset and 4.5 backspace with the 4 inch flares on the car right now.the front 15/8 with 3.5 backspace with a negative offset flares 2inch. i just wondering about the rear if it would work out the same or close to the same with the 15's or i would have to go smaller in the rear like 15/10.5 or 15/11 please any infor will help. thanks

well shop already crank knife edged balance with 240rods,with 240sx piston clutch, flywheel it all done,i just call the machine shop so they can put a hold on the bottom end until i figure out what to do.i call dave yesterday and ask about the forged piston does not have any, only stock flat tops with .040ths over size.maybe get some dish piston .040ths over size and shave them down to fit the 240 rods,i spoke to norm about this before cant remember how much to shave off.

well guys you right about the piston siting down in the block,i would love to buy new piston but right now tight for cash,is it possible to shave the block .020ths or i damaging the block by doing that.my take was to shave .050ths off the head and shave .020ths off the block so it would be a little better quench than just shaving the heads alone. i really need a solution.

    2.9l motor

i wanted to use the l28 crank and see what kind of power i could of build with the set up i have, but my math was wrong with the piston pin height beening that low in the block .077ths.my mind is just saying to shave the n42 head .070ths and use it that way.i dont know what problem i will have when it put together.
