  1. I've got american stuff too. '90 Stang LX trunk, and a '68 Lincoln Continental (black of course)
  2. Yeah spikes. I don't want to say too much until it's done. The car is slowly coming along.
  3. Hence the name of my license plate. Only chrome I'll have is on my rim lips and the metal spikes placed in strategic places.
  4. benitoz: that's just filthy sexy. car looks so sweet
  5. got my Kia Sportage weatherstrips for the doors, and grabbed 2 Acura Integra hatch seals, one from each generation (up to '93, and '94-'01) since I wasn't sure which one was supposed to fit. $20 for all of it.
  6. tfreer85: what wheels are those? they look so evil, love it
  7. Looks great. what paint did you use for the flat black?
  8. I've got the 002's waiting to go on as well. Super cheap and sexy rims for the $. I'd like to do my calipers in bright green to match the theme I've got going. Since noone makes caliper paint in that colour (the VHT stuff came out too yellow) I'll be using engine paint. I know it's not rated as high as the brake stuff but I'm not really tracking the car so I figure it should hold up decent. Anyone tried this?
  9. it's so dirty sexy. The green reminds me of something Billy Wings says in Hellride
  10. I'm into mine for $130 at the machine shop, and he cracked the spindle itself in 2 spots. Welded it all up for me but still useless. Ended up grabbing another pair from someone local, and now i can't get the damn strut out of the tube.
  11. I'm looking for the driver side rear housing, or the pair. let me know. BTW, Yan929 and I are both in Toronto so maybe we can work something out.
  12. Got cracked from them pounding out the pin.
  13. I don't care about the pins, I'm talking about the actual spindle/strut housing.
  14. So nothing was getting these spindle pins out, so I broke out the sawzall and cut between the control arms and spindless. They went to the machine shop to get the remainder of the pins out. First one wasn't so bad, but the second, well it needed a lot of work. I was told today they got it out but cracked the spindle in 2 places. He welded it, is gonna sandblast the piece to check for any other damage, then clean up the welds more. Should I be worried about putting it back in the car? This guy is highly reccommended from people who have motors done there.
  15. sits pretty low in the rear for stock springs
  16. Yeah mine just looks like a piece of flat stamped steel (the one on the 5spd, I never had the one for the 4spd). Is there any way to adapt the later style crossmember to my car? If not then the bushings will be for sale. I'm in Toronto, prefer to deal somewhat local.
  17. I've got an odd situation to deal with. I've got a '71 240, but have a 280 motor and 5spd tranny, different diff as well. I have the 2.4 and the 4spd too, but won't be using them. A while back I ordered the Energy Suspension master kit for a 240, and added the 240 tranny crossmember bushing set. From what I can see, there is nowhere to use these (240 tranny crossmember) bushings. Am I crazy? I looked through my spare parts I got with the car, and can't find anything that resembles a tranny crossmember, just one for the extra diff. Can I use a 240 tranny crossmember with the 5spd I have, if I could actually find one? Or am I stuck with bushings I'll never use?
  18. grey one is sexy. I've got a set of the sportmax in black i'll be putting on when the car is done. what springs are you running? what tire size are you using?
  19. which paint/method did you use? looks good for what it is
  20. My fronts were a bit of a bitch but I just put the whole assembly in a vice, used a set of channel locks and a big pipe slipped over it as a breaker. Use some good penetrating oil too, like PB blaster. The rears were really easy and came loose on the first try.
  21. 1. check out the son240sx forum. 2. sell the car or finish the job on torching it because and S13 is nothing but a headache. You'll never see a fraction of what you put into it back. Cops will hassle you, especially in Ontario.
  22. Congrats on the new stuff. My 240 is slowly starting to make progress again. The car should have been done already. I've decided come hell or high water I'll be driving it this summer, with a paintjob. It's still sitting on stands, front end and rear end ripped out of it. If and when you decide to sell your car, let me know. I've always liked your car and can appreciate what's gone into it.
  23. I'm sure it's been asked, but would the airdams for the 280's work on a 240 (bolt up?). I kind of like the idea of losing the turn signals, relocated them behind the upper or lower grill.
