  1. cool, thanks. Ill have a look and see whats needed from there. many thanks
  2. thanks john, i sure will. in the mean time im sure ill have tons of questions. how/what do most people do about the 2 harness issue. Ive seen places that combine 2, but that was for a newer 240....
  3. Glad i found this site, as im sure i will have TONS of questions!! I found a 78 280Z under a tree, that looked ok but needed work. well after talking to the guy, it turns out its cheap and has no motor. WORKS FOR ME....i was going to clean it up and sell it, but thought i would have a quick look for a motor. Somehow i found a wrecked SC300 for a great price so i got that also. I will start by going NA first and get the car running and driving.(might sell at this point) Let me get this out there.....im more of a V8 chevy guy. Dont get me wrong, i LOVE all kinds of cars. Most of my work has been either on my old fords (65&63 tbird's) LT1's or porsche stuff. Im new to the Z cars and very new to jap motors. So far I have the motor/trans out of the Lexus, and am working on the harness. ok, question time 1. What else will i need from the wrecked SC300?? 2. how do people deal with the wiring harness's(do i run both?, mate them,>??) Ill post some pics soon!! many thanks ahead of time, and some pics can be seen at www.pipautomotive.com jon
  4. well i almost have the 2J out of the lexus, and im learning a LOT as i go...pass side is ready, all unplugged, labeled, and exhaust undone....driver side is slowing me down. am i correct in thinking the harness runs through the intake mani?? ive split it and can now see almost all of what im looking to free up..... Next up i have to get under it and undo anything that is in the way....along with draining fluids.... on the SC300 do most pull motor/trans together?? many thanks jon
  5. are those oil lines the lowwest point on the truck??
