Okay on my 77 280z i have been trying to troubleshoot my problems. First the fuel pump wouldn't get power/ cycle on so i temporarily run it on a acessory circuit. now i get fuel to the fuel rail, but the injectors aren't spraying fuel into the cylinders. i pulled the spark plug out and cranked the engine and didn't see/ smell and fuel. So im weither thinking it is clogged injectors or they aren't getting the pulse from the ecu. right now it will run for a second if i let it sit for a minute after cranking.Also the car sat for 10 years so could all 6 injectors be clogged??? Thanks for the ideas

I have power to the pump when ign off and when its on. i don't think i have the 2 fromt he battery

Okay so i just bought my 77 280z and it doesn't start. When i turn the key to on the efi/fuel pump relay by the ecu doesn't click and the fuel pump doesn't buzz. So i went through the efi bibles testing and it still won't start. I tried to open the Afm flap since it is a safety and still no fuel in the lines. i know the pump is good i have bench tested it and it works,also lines are not clogged. Im at a loss on what it could be, either the ecu or relay is bad,or the wiring is grounding out somewhere. Im going to test the relay as the fsm says to. Any one got any ideas? Could it be a fusible link? Jon

My 77 280z is weird. When the key isn't in the ignition the wires for the fuel pump have 12 volts, but the pump isn't cycling. I know the pump is good because ihooked it up to a battery and it worked. My power relay works also since i hooked up the fuel pump by the filter sucj=king gas from the jar and it got the car to start. So my question is what is going on?? Im completly lost. Could it be the afm flap needs to be 3/8 open,but then how does it start when you're parked?

Okay i bought a 280z this weekend and with it cam a pair of extra tires. they are Supposed;ly stock hubcaps. they have a big D in the middle in red . My question is what could i get for them? i was thinking maybe 300?

ALright ill try and get all of the paperwork he has on it that i can. also im thinking that i can buy it for 800 think thats fair if the rust isn't too bad?

Okay so i got more info on the car. He has a spare door, got the motor to roll over. and salvaged the title since old car. Title doesn't say salvaged but has paperwork for ins to say its salvaged. Well my question is to get it registered to me do i still need to have proof to show its road worthy? or just get it inspected at the dmv. Also its an out of state car

i know i shouldn't pay that much for the car. the only problem is that it is a pretty clean Z. The guy sis asking 1000 for it which is quite a bit plus it doesn't...run. how much would you pay for it?

Okay so im going to go check out a 280z that has sat undercover for ten years. The guys says it has no rust although it was in a flood. he claims th insurance company totaled the car because of the flood.(went to bottom of doors) What does the salvaged title do? and can i knock the price down because of it. Also it has a dealer sunroof in itwhich looks good. Also what should i look for when i go look at it. where do sunroofs normally leak? Thanks
