The street is 40th st east heading north, up by the aqua duct. I'm going to wait for the weather to cool down before I go back to the track. I'm hoping to get a high 11's at palmdale.

What kind of noise? I havn't heard anythinhg, but my exhaust is pretty loud.

If you need to swap the ends you might not have one of each side. The drivers side should be shorter than the passenger side. Double check your axles. Are you using MM sports adapters? I used the MM sports adapters and the 280ZXT axles and I have no binding problems at all not even with the suspension completly extended.

I have not had a chance to really test it due to the grinding noise. I took it back out of the car to inspect it and have not put it back yet. Im waiting for a couple parts from the local nissan dealer. I will give an up date after it is back in the car and tested.

The card board glove box is gone in my car, so I made two simple brakets and mounted it on its side in the glove box. Easy to get to and never too hot or wet. Good luck.

The axle is rubbing on the diff. next to the seal that is installed in the diff. housing. There is a lip on the end of the axle, I have thought about grinding that a bit to increase clereance.

I just finished swaping out the open carrier for a NISMO LSD unit in my R200. I have been running 280ZXT axles with the open carrier with no problems. The installation of the LSD unit went perfect. Everything went back into the car with out a problem. The axles snaped into the diff. no problem. On the test drive I could hear a slight rubbing/grinding. It turns out that the axle on the passenger side of the car is making contact with the diff housing right next to the axle seal. The axle is going to far into the diff. The axle snaps into the splines with the snap ring and everything looks good. The axles are in right as far as the overall length, side to side. Any help would be great.

Does anyone Know if 280zxt axles will work with a power brute lsd?
-
Well it was it was fun, but it needs a lot of the bugs worked out. After nearly six years it was nice to have it move on its own. Header leaks, TV cable too tight, not getting full thottle, seat not bolted down ect... By the way Sanderson CC134 block hugger headers will not work on a 240Z, TOO BIG!!! I'll post some new picture in the photo album.

Thanks, I will go Dex II tomorrow.
Don't take my word for it, but I run a 700R4 and I use Dex III. The guys at Bowtie Overdrives recommend Dex III. As far as brand, they say buy it on sales and change it offten.

Autometer electronic phantom series

Do a search there is lots of info on this subject. You will need adapters and I recommend 280 stub axles if you have a 240. Contact Ross at Modern motorsports for adapters.

It worked, ground one of the terminals. Mine needs calibration badley, I was going 140 mph ( or so the speedo said ) around the block and put 4 miles on the odo. I unhooked the ground wire until I have time to do the calibration.
-
I did so more reseach and found out that one of the terminals needs to be grounded and the other sent to the signal tab on the speedo. ( autometer electronic ) It appears that it dosn't matter which one is grounded. As soon as I have time I will try it and post the results.
-
Well I have tried both terminals and nothing!! I guess one of the terminals needs a 12volt source? Any info on this subject would be great.
-
The guys at Bowtie overdrives response to this question was. Try one of the terminals and if it dosn't work try the other one. You shouldn't need to buy anything to make it work. Good luck. Im a good thee weeks out before I will know if I picked the right terminal. Im trying the top terminal first. If you get a chance to test this please let me know. Thanks

I think this might answer some people's question about whether or not I will need to make "bolt spacers" for your diff. There is a lot of good info at this link[/url']. It says that they changed from 10mm to 12mm in "84. I will have to make spacers for any differential up until that point. Hope this can help. I know this link is in other places on this site but I think it may help some of you who are deciding which diff. you are going to send me.
What would you charge me for a set of spacers? I perfer to do my own install.

Window Trim
in Interior

Does anyone have any experience or ideas on how to re attatch the rubber window felt to trim piece that is on the outside of the door where the window rubs? I don't know why it was taken off, I got the car as a project. It looks like the original attatchment used some type of staple.
