I'm probably going to use your design on my personal set of rear arms, in conjunction with some camber plates welded into the rear towers." No, I haven't installed them yet. I'm still accumulating/building all of my suspension upgrades and I want to put everything on at the same time. Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  2. Here's a picture of what I did with a pair of Mike Kelly's rear arms. I welded in another cross support tube at the outer end and then used a pair of high strength rod ends with spacers to center it on the upright. I slightly knurled a 5/8" high strength bolt to make it fit a bit snugger in the spindle pin hole. The hole is only about .004" bigger so it didn't take much. The female portion of the rod end is 3/4-16 thread and the ball has a 5/8" hole. I could have used a set of double adjusters with male rod ends but Mike's LH/RH adjusters do the same thing. 3. If you could cut the arm a little shorter, you could use a double adjuster (see link below) in conjunction with a rod end and have on-the-car adjustability. http://www.cheperformance.com/cartgenie/prod-62.htm Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ

  5. Anywhere as long as the bleed screws are towards the top to aid in bleeding. I know, you can always remove the caliper to bleed it but its sure easier to do it when its mounted. Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  6. Interesting. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-240Z-260Z-280Z-Honda-Fan-Blower-Motor-UPGRADE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33600QQitemZ7998075280QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  7. I don't know if this is the case with your rims, but years ago (well, decades really) they used to make rims with oval holes for the lug nuts. You then had different inserts, one per lug, you could use depending on the bolt circle on the axle. I don't know how long they manufactured these and, for all I know, maybe they still do. Anyway, I thought I'd bring this up in case that's what you have. Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  8. I don't think there'd be room for one of those things in a Z car. Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  9. I'll have to wholeheartedly agree too. I've purchased numerous things from Ross and all have always been first rate quality. Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  10. Here's a picture of the finished front a-arms I have built. They are made from 1 1/8" OD, .220" wall, tubing that is fully threaded (no welded in inserts) on both ends. One side is 3/4"-16 LH, which accepts a 3/4" male rod end that has the required 5/8" bore ball and the other side is threaded to accept a metric tie rod that uses the identical tapered stud as the Datsun ball joint. The LH / RH threads allow on-the-car adjustment. It also has tabs on the top side that mount a rod end that links to the sway bar. The tabs on top allow a straight alignment with the end of the sway bar that is located directly over the top of the a-arm. It also mounts the rod end in double shear. I have also made heavy duty TC rods using 1" OD tubing that accepts a heavy duty 3/4-16 RH thread shank clevis on one end and a 3/4-16 LH threaded rod end on the other. Both ends are fully threaded (again, no welded in inserts) which also allows on-the-car adjustments. This picture is also located in my album as "Improved Front A-Arm". Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  11. Even a thin wall steel tube strut bar would only weigh a couple of pounds. Other than the bling factor, why would you want to spend a lot of bucks on a carbon fiber bar just to save a pound or two? Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  12. Of course, there's still the tried and true 7 blade engine driven clutch fan. It was 110 degrees here in Tucson yesterday and I drove home in stop and go traffic and I don't think the water temp ever hit 190 (ZZ4 crate engine, regular 4 core Camaro size radiator). Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  13. I just looked at their website and it says they're made from low carbon steel, so don't consider them. Double adjusters, discussed in this forum a couple of months ago, should fit your bill. See them at: http://www.cheperformance.com/cartgenie/prodInfo.asp?pid=62&cid=8 Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  14. Good luck on getting any spare JSK hats. I think JSK Innovations is now a thing of the past. That's based on 10 months of unanswered emails and phone messages and now a defunct website. Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  15. So how does one acquire a set of GTR hubs if one is so inclined to do so? I haven't checked eBay but I'm assuming these things are as rare as a hens' teeth in this country. Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  16. There's tons of us that have used the Tilton (me included) without a problem. Its relatively straight forward to mount and plumb. Why don't you think its right for your use? Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  17. Arizona has a bill in the legislature that would exempt "collectible" vehicles from emission testing that are 15 years and older in those areas that require emissions checks (Tucson and Phoenix metro areas). See the link below which makes an attempt to define what collectible means. 22. I haven't given much thought to the sway bar link yet. I'd like to make it adjustable, though. Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
  23. Its assembled as a single unit. I don't think you can replace just the handle unless you do some minor custom fabricating. In other words, the handle isn't just pinned on or secured with a set screw. I think you'll have to get a complete unit from a junkyard or a new one from a dealer or parts house.
