  1. Precision Replacement Parts http://www.prp.com/prp/ makes a good kit that includes almost all the rubber for the whole car EXCEPT don't use the door seals. These are too thick and hard so you have to slam the door all the time. Save yourself some grief and buy the factory seals for the doors.

This place sells the whole kit for $239 http://www.weatherstripspecial.com/240z.html

And, of course, they show up on eBay all the time http://search.ebay.com/weatherstrip-kit-240Z_W0QQsofocusZbsQQsbrftogZ1QQsonewuserZ1QQfromZR10QQcatrefZC6QQsotrtypeZ1QQsotrvalueZ1QQsosortpropertyZ1QQcoactionZcompareQQcopagenumZ1QQcoentrypageZsearch

  2. I don't have the Samsung but my Marantz projector http://www.marantz.com/hifi/america/main.html uses the same Texas Instuments Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology.

I have a 104" screen and the picture is awesome! The colors are right on and it is super bright. The bulb is a bit expensive though @ $280 and has to be changed every 2000 hrs. BTW, the projector keeps track of the hours and warns you but if you don't change the bulb it shuts itself off.

The technolgy behind DLP is amazing - it's all done with mirrors - 1.3 MILLION of them! http://www.dlp.com/default.asp?bhcp=1

  3. Mike from Jags That Run (screen name MikeJTR) checks this site once in a while so you might want to touch base with him. The last tread I saw from him on this subject was back in April where he stated that he was almost done with the ZX conversion

BTW, he already lists a few parts, (including the headers but no mounts) on his site.

Hard to say on the $5,000. It depends on which Camaro engine/transmission and what other changes he is making. I don't think a low mileage LT1/WC T-5 conversion out the door for $5,000 is too bad a deal. If it's some tired old 305 with a 2 BBL. and 350 automatic it's probably a bit steep.

  4. Lots of places (like Autozone) sell rebuilt short blocks but if you want 450 - 500 HP you will throw it all away except the block.

BTW, a 450 - 500 HP motor will require many changes from reinforcements to the chassis to changing the rear end. Make sure you know what you are getting yourself into.

You can get a brand new crate 350 motor (with heads) for $1389.00 http://www.paceparts.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=24755

It even has a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty

  5. I think Tom Edwards http://www.scorpionzcars.com/ did an awesome job on that car and I love it in black! :D

Of course the wheels are replicas of what is on the real Ferrari 250 GTO. They are real knock-off, 72 spoke stainless wire wheels made by Dayton wire wheel. I've got the same ones on my car and you install them with a lead hammer. They are a real pain to clean though.

  6. Yeah, based on his feedback I wouldn't buy anything from him! :x

Also, I'm not sure I would call it a "crate" motor because the block and heads are used. I think the true definition of "crate" means it is all new and comes with a warranty. What he is selling is really a rebuilt motor.

As I said in a different thread, I would buy it right from GM and the new ZZ383 is pretty awesome for the money.
