These guys probably built that one http://www.finesportscar.com/InventoryFSC.html
I'm sure they would be glad to build one for you!
-
I think a few guys are going to be upset that you managed to find the last set of those valve covers!
Sorry, forgot to let you know that you can get those fender shields here http://www.image-homes.com/Adv.html
That is a great looking GTO! Good luck with it.

I'm pretty sure he is right about GM not having Targetmaster 327 CID engines. Write down the block casting number and go to this site http://www.mortec.com/castnum.htm You will the at least know what it used to be.

Wow Tom - that is one awesome GTO replica. I had seen some of the pictures from a few of the other sites and could not get over how great your car looks. It is, without a doubt, the finest looking fiberglass replica of a Ferrari 250 GTO that I have ever seen!!!!!!!!
I thought about modifying mine to have a trunk when I built it. I actually took it over to the body shop of a guy that said he was really excited to do it. Trailered the car over to him just before Easter and picked it up after Labor Day without him ever touching it. Decided I had waited long enough and it was time to get it painted so I could finish it and drive it!
Anyway, I wish you had your kit ready at the time because I would have used it. Oh, well - maybe next time!
Thanks for stopping by and maybe you can check this site once in a while since quite a few of the guys are building GTO’s. Maybe you could help and offer a few suggestions on occasion.

You might want to check with Eric Neyerlin http://www.zparts.com/inprogress.html for info on the Puckett kits.
BTW, I don't think the silver and read GTO is a Puckett. I saw somewhere on the web that it's a modified Rhino. If you look close you can see that it's on the standard Z wheelbase.
I wish I had welded the hatch up and installed a trunk in mine thought. That is one beautiful car!

longg - please see my reply to your post in the for sale section.

I just recently sold my Nardi Classico for $100 to another GTO builder and installed the Nardi Anni 60. It looks great and I'll have to update the pictures on this (and a few other) sites. http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=236622

Thanks Pappy! Actually those are the guages I used in my car. I also used the matching 5" speedo and tach http://www.hybridz.org/Review/0002/GTO_31.jpg
As you can see the speedo goes to 160MPH and the tach is x100.

Actually, the "O" stands for “Omologato.â€
Here's a couple of words about that from the write-up on my car that is located on this site. "The first race of the year was the Daytona 24 Hour and Ferrari submitted an entry form for it’s “Homologated†(classified) car. The Italian word for homologated is “Omologato†so the form listed a Ferrari 250 GT Omologato. The race promoters at Daytona shortened the name to fit the form by abbreviating it to the now famous - GTO."

The rest is history!

There's more but I can't remember where I saw them - having another senior moment I think!
Good luck.

Congratulations on joining the Ferrari 250 GTO replicar crowd. There are a few of us hanging around here.
Basically, all the current 250 GTO kits are descendents of the Eagle engineered kit that was first sold as an Alpha 1 GTO by Joe Alphabet. Some history can be found here http://www.gtorr.com/
You have probably already found the Stable Autoworks site but if not you can contact Jeff here http://www.zcarkits.com/
Some info on my car can be found on this site http://www.hybridz.org/Review/0002/Ferrari_GTO.htm with a couple of newer pictures here http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=236622
Let us know if you need any info/help.

The Corvette bell housing doesn't mount the trans at the 14 degree angle like the Camaro AND uses an aluminum slave cylinder. All you have to do is remove the stop under the cliutch pedal (welded to the floor pan) and it will work fine with the stock master cylinder.
-
Jason - I don't know why you want to remove the PCV valve from your car but it's not recommended. The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve improves airflow through the crankcase and removes moisture and other harmful gases/chemicals.
-
David - I used the 1984 and up Corvette bellhousing/slave cylinder on my car. I have a custom made 26" Aeroquip stainless steel line on mine. I wanted a little extra so I could clamp it to the firewall to make things neat and out of the heat from the headers.

250ZT - The price will scare you but you can buy them here http://www.ferraripartsexchange.com/ Look under "Lenses"
-
Oooooooooops....my bad. As usual I had Ferrari on my mind.
Yeah, I remember seeing a Shelby Cobra coupe kit for the Z but it was a long time ago. Seems like all the current kits use a custom chassis.
Good luck John on getting your old business up and running again!

Oh yeah - can you believe that GM sells a brand new 330 horsepower 350 HO SBC crate motor for $2,219.17 ???????
-
Looks like only a couple of GM Performance crate motors come with FI http://www.paceparts.com/subcatmfgprod.asp?0=239&1=241&2=-1
BTW, they do come with a GM Warranty no matter what you put them in as long as you don't "race" them.

Check out this place - http://www.cstudio.net/
How about $18,995 for a Ferrari F1 1/4 scale model !!!
Or, you could buy just the 250 GTO engine for $4,500 http://www.scudi.com/dalia250GTOEngine.html

Here's a yellow one for sale http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/7/8/27082578.htm
Jim Simpson sold the kit at one time but I don't know what happened to the molds. You might want to ask him http://www.simpsondesign.net/
-
You shouldn't have any problem with the GM column connectors. I just cut them off and spliced the harness into the Z column. Again, no matter which way you go you have to know how to wire the car.
BTW, that looks like an awesome kit for the price.

Just barely.....http://www.zparts.com/showcase/engines/pages/q45v8z-testfit.html

The Honda pulls make for a really clean and simple installation. When you see how simple and effective they are you will hit your forehead with the palm of your hand and say "WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT!"
Since a few of you need them, why don't you ask Jim Simpson http://www.simpsondesign.net/ if he would consider a "group buy" and save yourselves a lot of trouble and $$$.
Just a thought.
How many of you are building Ferrari 250 GTO kits?

Sorry, I'm not that "up" on Cobra Daytona kit cars but Factory Five makes one on a custom chassis http://www.factoryfive.com/
I don't think the Datsun Z based Cobra Daytona has been manufactured in a long time.
