It just turns on for a second or two then dies by itself, no stumbling, but i'm going to put a new battery in it and see if it runs first thing tomorrow morning, i'll let u know how that goes.

Hi i recently got a 82 280zx, and it has a new fuel pump, engine rebuild and other small things, but it has one electrical problem (what the previous owner said) that when it starts up it turn off by itself. The battery in it isn't very good though, if that is an indicator about anything. Thats the only thing wrong with it (i think) but i really want to get this baby running! please help me!!

Hi, I'm new here, but i recently bought a 82 280 zx and am having some problems with it. the previous owner said it had electrical problems, and when i started it, it just turned off by itself. Everything was recently replaced on the car, and was wondering if anybody had any ideas on what could be wrong. Thanks
