  1. I just put Energy Suspension bushings all underneath it, but they seem to give a little too much. Does anyone use solid type bushings? Leon, I know the frame nor control arms are not bent, but can you please elaborate on the bushings not being oriented correctly? And 260DET, I don't see any way to adjust it, how would you go about checking it properly? I really appreciate the help guys. Sincerely, Outlaw76
  2. Hey guys !! I haven't been on here in awhile because I have been so busy, but I recently did some more work on my 1976 280Z and I noticed a problem. I got a bushing kit that replaced most of the bushings underneath the car, and installed most all of them besides a couple up front that I don't need to replace. It could have been like this before, but if it was i never noticed it. My back two wheels/tires (the front of them) are angled "in" towards the motor a little. I've searched on here and looked for a fix, but I haven't had any luck. Any ideas? All help is much appreciated. Outlaw76
  3. I did a search on here, and I saw that I can change to 280ZX brakes on my 1976 280Z. However, it said I need a caliper mounting plate that comes on a 79-83 maxima. That thing is impossible to find. Anyone have any ideas for a decent rear brake swap that isn't impossible to find and won't run $800? Any info would be greatly appreciated !! josh
  4. I like the Konigs alot! Seems to be plenty light, and in my price range also. I've had Bogart's before, and they are a wicked wheel, but do you think I can get them for around $200 each or less? I just checked out Ebay to try to find a quick round-about price, and their were just a few and they were on up there in price. maybe some more looking and I can find a better price. Thanks alot guys, I really appreciate it. Whenever I get the chance I'll put my car on here. Trying to find some seats too, and the search on here helped alot. Josh
  5. I am still working on my 1976 280Z project. I'm going to be drag racing, and I want to get as light as I can. My buddy took his Weld Wheels off of his Mustang and we bolted them on, and they are light, but everyone and they're momma has those. Anyone have any ideas on a halfway cheap ($150-200 tops each)wheels I can check into? I have some old (1970's) original Shelby wheels on it now, but they are pretty heavy. Any info would be great. Thanks.
  6. Lookin for some stouter stub axles (shafts) for my '76 280Z. Checked online and it looks like Wolf Creek has them in a kit but they call them companion flanges? I haven't heard this term. It's a nice kit, but I decided to leave the factory R200 and half shafts so I don't need all that. Any good ideas for beefier stub axles? Thanks !
  7. I've seen 7 second rides in the 1/4 run on drag radials. Mickey Thompson has nice ones. Nitto is my least favorite, but just my opinion. E.T. streets probably be fine too.
  8. The only hope I have found so far buddy is Amazon. They say online that they have the Hooker Super Comp 4127 for $462, and the 4127-1 for $662. I put them in the cart, and when it got to me putting in my credit card #, I decided to call them because i've had a couple other websites say they have them, but it will be 3-5 weeks because they have to get them from the distributor. But, i've called Hooker and they don't have any left. So, I called Amazon to verify they actually had them, and they said they did but it would be 3-5 weeks once again. I asked why, and he said it will take that long because he has to get them from the distributor !! What the heck?? I'm looking for other options right now. I have Kooks on my 2010 SS Camaro, and they are awesome, but custom headers from them run $2,700 I believe, at least that is what they wanted for Custom headers for my Jimmy. I'm going to call Lemons today, and i'll let you know what they run. Someone told me arouond $1200, which wouldn't be bad for that quality of header. I've also seen when I did a search on here that sdome people use Sanderson. But, I have a powerglide right now, and on there website it says they won't work with a glide. I have blockhuggers on it now, but I know I will get a pretty significant hp gain w/ long tubes with my setup. Let me know if you find any, or find another brand that has them, and I will do the same man. Josh
  9. I'm looking for a set of hooker headers, part # 2147, or the coated ones, part # 2147-1. hooker just recently discontinued them, and i'm having a very hard time finding them. I really want new ones, but would tke used. Would love to find somewhere that still had some leftover in stock. Thanks.
  10. I have searched all over this forum looking for long-tube headers for a sbc. Hooker recently discontinued the 2147 that i was going to go with. I saw where a guy on here used Sanderson, and it looked like they fit ok, but in the ad it said they won't with a powerglide. I've also heard of people using S&S, but i don't know if these are long tube or not. Would anyone happen to know where I could find some of the discontinued Hooker 2147 or 2147-1? Or besides the Sanderson, are there any other long tubes out there that will fir a 1976 280Z w/ a SBC? I've done alot of searching here, and alot of "yahooing", but I haven't come up with alot. Any info would really be appreciated. I would LOVE to find some Hooker 2147's or 2147-1. Thank you !!
