  1. I'm not sure if he had any go fast parts on it besides the l28 and 5 speed swap he did have some kind of aftermarket distributor on it but I'm not sure what kind. I'm going to see if he will put it on the lift for me so i can get a better look at the underside of it and ill try to remember to take some pictures. He did have some American Racing wheels on it again not sure what model. edit: I believe they are either the AR172 BAJA or the AR23
  2. The rust on the rear of the car isn't as bad as it sounds, the rust on the rear had been ground down and then covered with por-15. The rust in the passenger side floor pan is 3 half dollar sized holes that could be patched but id probably choose just to replace the floor pan entirely. I can weld so welding is not an issue. Plus all the other z's i have seen here in Washington state have been in far worse condition and roughly the same price. I thought i might be getting a good deal for it.
  3. This Monday i will have the opportunity to purchase an early 260z and i am wondering if its worth it, the price is 2800. The good: Running l28 low compression swap with 5 speed, carbed not FI. Nearly rust free. The bad: Needs passenger side floor pan. Needs a new rear section of the vehicle below the tail lights.(It's rusted through in quite a few places) Cracked dash. Needs new paint but that's a given. It will be my first car and then eventually a project car but until then it will be a dd. sorry about having no pics but i was so excited to see the car that i forgot to take any pictures and their closed on the weekend. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  4. Right on! I had searched forever haha.
  5. Does anyone know how much 280z bumpers weigh? i have searched and searched and i've found everything from 10 lbs to 100 lbs. Can someone please help me out?
  6. Right on! i heard the fitment was better on 240z's and then even better with the 3-2-1 headers
  7. nice... was that on a 240 260 or 280?
  8. Right on... well thank you very much for all of your help!
  9. Yeah i was planning on doing the headers... twice pipes... a decent but not ridiculous cam and then hopefully some Mikuni 40 phh carbs and DD it until i save up enough money for a 2jzgte swap. What would recommend for installation getting it professionally done and spending the extra money or doing it your self if you can weld and dealing with the headaches ive heard about fitment?
  10. I have seen your videos many times, and by the way that is a gorgeous z car! They were actually the deciding point in getting the twice pipes. Is all this stuff i hear about losing power with them true?
  11. right on! Im hoping to buy a 240z soon and put a pair of them on. Any idea if the msa 3-2 header with the msa twice pipes for the 3-2 header would be a true dual system or would i still have that y pipe?
  12. Just curious as to if anyone knows how many db msa twice pipes make?
  13. Im looking for a 240z in Washington state. It must be drivable. It will be a DD until i get some money saved up to do a 2jzgte swap. Fairly minor rust, decent interior, don't care about the color, must have a manual transmission. I am currently located in Bothell Washington. My budget is 3000 max but hopefully less. Thanks, Brendan
