  1. whats a 4/7 swap? I heard about that on horsepower TV once, something about the firing order???
  2. what do you guys think about my cam selection? Its on a 111lsa, 233/239 duration and .569/.577 lift with 1.6 rockers its based on one of the new xfi cams
  3. 30lb injectors wont be enough? I am at 336whp now on stock 24lb injectors at about 86% or so i think, with my hp 255lph pump
  4. well the heads will be getting ported too, a local porter here who does wonders on v8 heads has done multiple lt1 heads and keeps giving me a better and better deal because he really wants to see a big head/cam 240z go , lol...he gave me a deal i couldnt refuse heads are getting ported, new ss valves, etc... I actually held off on the 847 cam to do something different and not as proven I am going with the new XFI based cam but a more custom grind from combination motorsports Its on a 111lsa, 233/239 duration and .569/.577 lift with 1.6 rockers I will be using beehive springs My heads that will flow mid 250s/180s hopefully will get me over 400whp , which is my goal I still need 30lb injectors. 400whp at 2550lb on slicks should HOPEFULLY get me low 11s if not the magical 10.99 on the motor which would be amazing
  5. yea, 1.6 rockers, it will be closer to 600 lift im gettin dual roller chain as well valve bent because of a broken keeper i think...no damage though, just bent valve
  6. well since i bent that valve i pulled my heads, getting thinner impala headgaskets, gm847 cam(vs current hotcam) dual valve springs, retailers, keepers, guide plates, etc... Im gonna shoot for 370whp, up from my current 336whp Cant wait, should be done by next weekend
  7. plus all the extra stuff to make it all work in a Z adds up VERY VERY fast, just do the math
  8. well a stock lt1 with a t56 can bring about that on ebay t56's alone bring in 1200-1400, plus a clutch(new500) flywheel(350), slave(100), etc....it adds up VERY FAST Not to mention mine is completely rebuilt, plus has a full valvetrain upgrade amongst other things, fully dyno tuned as well
  9. Not sure, the motor specs are: -5000 miles on fully rebuilt motor, reconditioned rods, twr pistons, all machine work/balancing, 355ci 40 over. Heads are stock lt1 heads gasket match ported. Hotcam conversion with springs/retainers/cam/roller rockers/etc -Sanderson headers ceramic coated -CSR electric water pump -msd coil -aluminum intake elbow/filter -Billet flywheel -Centerforce dual friction clutch (new disk) -custom pulley bracket system to route belt to alternator only -brand new alternator and belt -It will come complete with mafs, all fuel components, TUNED ecu for 6 speed and no emisions, custom factory wiring harness ready to go. -Transmission is a stock t56 unit -JTR motor mounts with uruthane bushings. -t56 tranny mount with urathane bushing -Driveshaft custom made for t56 - q45 rear end Im thinking about $5,000 or so, I'll have to do the math, but that would be a great deal I think for someone I mean if you were to buy a lt1 motor and tranny alone, STOCK, you are looking at spending 2800 minimum. To rebuild it you are looking at about 800. A complete hotcam combo with roller rockers you are looking at 700. Then you got clutch, flywheel, harness rewire which was 350, then you gotta dyno tune it, a few hundred bucks, then you got the jtr engine kit, then the water pump, the intake system, fuel, driveshaft, etc... The engine made 336whp on a consevative tune through a q45 rear end on 91 octane
  10. I am probably going to put my complete lt1/t56 combo for sale here on the hybrid forum, complete with tuned ecu and edited for this application, custom rewired harness thats a 5 minute install job, motor mounts, tranny mount, electric water pump, custom routed drive belt with brackets and pulleys, alternator, etc...everything someone needs to completely swap a lt1/t56 into a Z car Its dyno tuned to 336whp on 91 octane, safe tune and runs like a champion Car went 12.3@114mph on street tires on the first and only pass with a bog off the line
  11. Finished a while ago and I have weird rattle from my driver side rear strut area Only when going over big enough bumps, it seems like the top of the strut is loose and it keeps making a taping sound over bumbs, its really annoying. Was I supposed to use washers in the rear? Do I need to use 2 on each side to take up the play? Almost seems like there is a bit of play in the top somewhere allowing it to move around and make annoying sounds
  12. stock ecu, custom rewired harness from a guy online, and dynotuned on tunercat Not too hard or long at all, makes 336whp on stock heads, tiny hotcam Next motor is a 460whp ls1 thats got patriot heads and huge .605 cam that my buddy is sellin out of his ss
  13. 17x9.5 5" bs No spacers, fit great with coilovers, slight rub with regular springs 275/40/17 and 255/40/17
  14. floating somewhere on here... Im trying to work on a deal on a new heart for the car My buddy has his race SS with a ls1 that he's building a stroker ls2 for, and wants to sell me his ls1 Its just a basic lil' ls1 with HUGE patriot heads, .605 cam fully tuned making 460whp, lol, thats 130whp more than my car I will be doing the upgrade sometimes this winter The thing should go 10s on the motor still in its road race setup:icon14:
