I have a working one just pulled from my 76 $30 shipped this week.

So my car is a 1976 280z and is pretty well dismantled.I am trying to go thru the wiring harness and vacuum system for the hvac system while the dash is out for ease of access.Question is what do the vacuum switches on the passenger side fender do? I have searched around and figured out one is called a magnet switch and i believe the other one is supposed to idle up the engine when the compressor is called to run . Can anyone explain to me what the magnet switch does and could it be operated without it? I am dong a carbed lt1 swap so im not really worried about the idle one.

I have a full ac system from my 76 280 that was working well before removal not sure what its worth.What parts are you interested in?

Hi this is my first post. I am in the process of building a "carbed" Lt1 280z. I haven't seen what everyone does about accesories in there Lt1 swaps. The stock one's seems rather bulky and ugly. I am planning on using the ac but obviously no ps pump and no smog.Are there any aftermarket brackets that aren't 500 bucks?
