  1. 200sx, yes. gazelles, no. I know OF one with a FJ20 that is in Toronto. It's awaiting an EMS. I'll make a call tomorrow.
  2. well since i'm not using a turbo or any sort of forced induction, I guess I could hold off on the manifold pressure guage. should I then use that same rear balance tube port for my EMS?
  3. you... i like you Now, what kind of pump am I looking at to fill this thing? I'd figure a high flow pump for a carb system is a good start? They're relatively cheap too, only thing is, I've seen Walbro EFI pumps at 255lph, and carb type pumps at 125lph, which is just about half the flow of the EFI pump, which is probably what i'll use. Where do we get low pressure high vol pumps, or what's a good place to shop around? quality names?
  4. Yeah, black diamond or metal shavings are good for a contained unit because you could re use them. However,if you have pets, i dont know if blasting that stuff around is a good idea. Play sand works, as long as you keep moisture away from the container it's in. I would put it in a tote and seal the end off with some regular duct tape so that no moisture gets in. Maybe put a hole on the lid, and tape a waterproof filter sheet of some sort on the other side, to allow it to suck some air into the sand supply, without any moisture. UPDATE ON MY BLASTING UNIT: Still haven't found a coupler to run it on my unit. I have to see if northern tool sells one
  5. terrorism, peace-keeping, whatever, here's some pics from al jazera-cam...
  6. Well, I never did say anything was wrong with them. I'm in no position to contest. They just look a little different from the traditional mounts I've seen, and I was wondering what happens if that bolt breaks, or if it will break at all. They do look like the castlemine mounts too. And they're not finished, so I'm also curious to know what is going to be added to them so I know a thing or two when I build my mounts.
  7. you're doin pretty good. as long as the bondo is real thin, you can consider it a well done job. 1/8th is not much at all, and I think it will turn out in your favour =) git'r done!
  8. Diggles! you're quite famous amongst S12 owners the world over, did you know?
  9. Hey everyone, If you're reading this now, and you live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada...or neighbouring hoods. Go down to Cherry and Erin street (turn to go south on King and Sumach street, it will turn into Cherry st.... *near cherry beach*) Nissan is filming a new commercial. I took 30 mins off work after getting a call from a friend. They have every Z car generation on scene. What they're doing is filming a little boy peering into the window of the car in the middle of the street on a rainy day. My guess is the kid gets older and older with each generation that passes, and looks into the window of each car as they grow older with him, until he finally buys a 350z [or perhaps the new 370z or 400z.. (Why a car would be stopped in the middle of the street anyways, I don't know, much less having someone in the middle of the street with it)]. It could just be a new 350z commercial anyways, to show off the new colours that they're releasing. I missed the 240z (lime-yellow) and the 260z was bright orange. There were some cars parked around the corner that I also shot, but no 350 in sight. Which tells me that he wont be peering into the window of that gen. Anyways, I was asked what I was doing taking pictures, and I said "I own a '76, relax"... and they just went about their way. Bottom line is, I was taking pics, and I'll have'm on CD soon to upload HOORAY FOR PRETEND-PRESS!
  10. That spoiler gives me chills. It's the same one that my car's previous owner hacked on, and it's the cause of most of the issues with my car because it was a custom job, and not made from fiberglassed and riveted pieces. it was chicken wire with a fiberglass base, and bondo pics upon request *runs and cries*
  11. Right on. They look sturdy as hell, and if they're not done yet, then I'm anxious to see what else you're adding to those things. Where did you get those rubber bushings from anyway? Could you divulge a bit more on the design of the mounts? Perhaps I'd take some pointers when building my own mounts in the near future
  12. so if one of those bolts happens to break..... :/
  13. they do indeed. until this passed weekend, my room mate had about 8 or 9 appliances of varying use in the backyard. All for metal scrap. We might be saving the large items to cut and use for my Z floor boards if the paint comes off them easily. or even just some general sheet fabrication for smaller items to practice our welding =)
  14. I find it cool how it also says "a zee is a zee" which sorta goes on the whole thing that drives this community and board. one of my fav plates However, I have two plates that I am considering. I think I've narrowed it down. I will be getting ownership of my car on the 26th of August, so when I go to transfer it into my name, I will let you guys know of my plate, and the one that I didn't choose
  15. 7? BLASPHEME! the world needs a miniature L2X!
  16. i saw zoops seal products on horsepower tv once, and I remember someone from the 4runner forums who had tried it on his 20inch wheels, and they looked as if they were never coated at all. http://www.zoops.com/product-listing.asp?ID=15 http://www.caswellcanada.ca/store/owProductDetail.asp?idProduct=29416&bSelectOption=T http://performanceunlimited.com/cobravalley_chemicals/zoopseal.html Be careful though, it's like a resin, and any runs will stay as runs. BTW, what method of polishing did you use? I want to polish my surge tank =)
  17. Hey man, I say go for it. Now... "go for it" isn't as meaningful as "hell ya, do it!", because that's reserved for instances where you absolutely should not take your hands off the wheel but i still say "go for it"
  18. Accepted. As I said earlier, the quality of the work is really well done. And I'd be hard pressed to have my fenders and hood come out like that when I get to that stage, but some things I would change, had they been up to myself. But they are functional, so that's more reason to ignore what I'm saying. LOL. And sorry for the fuss. Raff
  19. any sort of cleaning is generally done by sloshing, unless you have them cut it open and re-weld it shut afterwards. I'd just get some type of rust remover and cleaner and slosh it around in there for a good 15 to 20 minutes. then i'd pressure wash the inside, drain it, and then redo it. i'd also do it until i ran out of remover and cleaner. Hang it by a tree and spin it and twirl it or something to give it a good wash. then repeat the process with a sealer made for this type of chemical (gas)
