  1. Found by right clicking the photos above: http://www.kwiklift.com
  2. Connect the fuel pump directly to a battery.....
  3. Been discussed here several times....try a search, but you may need to try several search criteria.....
  4. This is not the Z. I need some help diagnosing a problem with my auto in the truck (dropped in a L31 5.7L Vortec and 4L60E from a 99 Suburban). The tranny had 62,xxx miles on it when the Burb was wrecked (not terribly bad damage), but I have no history on the vehicle, its maintenance or condition of drivetrain. The tranny seems to have been working fine until recently. (I now have about 800 miles on the drivetrain since the conversion). One thing that has been a slight concern is the driveshaft length. I could have had it shortened another 3/4" or so, but it seems OK. It can push another inch or so into the tranny from the position it currently sits in. The driveshaft is a 2 piece design, with a center bearing, so the yolk doesn't slide in and out of the tranny as the suspension moves. OK....that's the background, here are the new symptoms: When in 4th gear, it seems to surge (like it's running out of fuel) at 60mph. If I try to go over 60mph, the tranny begins searching and then just slips and RPMs increase. When I manually shift to 3rd gear, the tranny whines really loudly. Running through the gears (placing the tranny in OD and letting it shift) from a stop to about 60MPH or so, everything seems OK. The tranny fluid has been double and tripple checked and the dipstick shows good level. No contamination evident in the fluid and the fluid is new since the conversion. I am running through an external B&M cooler mounted in front of the radiator and no leaks are present. The fluid is not running through the radiator (internal tranny cooler). If this tranny is on its last legs, I plan to get a remanufactured one from this place , but I want to make sure it is warranted, or do I have an installation issue that will manifest with the new tranny also? Any expert opnions?
  5. I merged the two posts as they were basically the same.....
  6. No, they go on the outside (many members have tinted glass). $20, plus $2 shipping. Paypal preferred.
  7. Yes and no. Technically they are not decals, but vinyl transfers (thus the cost). I do still have a few.
  8. Wayyyy too much. I bought my 94 Z28 with 79k miles on it and in near perfect condition for $4k......maybe $1500 would be more realistic.
  9. Posting in the classifieds is reserved for active and established members, not for the "fly by night" sellers.
  10. As long as you have the "balls", go ahead and change the exhaust and then post up some pics
  11. I am assuming that you didn't do a search?! Use the spark plug "anti-foul' extensions from the "HELP" section of the parts store. The female thread is perfect for O2 sensors and you will just need to cut off the threads that would screw into the cylinder head (if you were to use them for their intended purpose). They cost about $2 each
  12. Maybe a Police Officer wouldn't, but the terst station certainly should, esp. since there is a visual test for every smog test....
  13. Locked. Ben...folks have been banned for less. Consider yourself warned.
  14. All of these questions have been asked and answered a million times. No, you don't have to put in a solid axle. Handling is generally better (if you use lots of aluminum parts: Heads, intake etc) Build time is an unknown variable as lots of other things come into play (suspension, brakes, chassis stiffening, bodywork etc)....anywhere from 3 months to 14 years. Please use the search function. (LOCKED)
  15. Try finding parts for that at the local Pick and Pull!!
  16. I would go with the 9". More choices on gear sets, lockers/spools etc and more aftermarket support. Get a full floating rear as they are stronger. If you are going to go through all that effort, might as well use the most effective parts....
  17. http://forums.hybridz.org/announcement.php?f=59&announcementid=3 someone had to do it!! BTW...I have seen this kit in person and when Dan says "Complete", he ain't kidding!! Bolt up and run.
  18. Damn...CL removed it....what did it say?
  19. Owen will likely have some details on the car.....it looks like those photos were taken at the same place as my little smoke fest (below) pictures were taken...
  20. Big @$$ impact wrench and socket and about 125psi of air......
  21. This has also been discussed dozens of times on this board. SEARCH the archives for bed liners
