    Mikuni Help

Thanks for the help Tony. I'm getting some local help this week, and I'll be sure to mention what you've already brought up.

    Mikuni Help

If you're talking about the disc with the spring attatched to it in the bottom pic up top, my choke cable is connected to all 3 of them. Even with them "engaged", it just won't fire. Could it be that since the car is jetted/tuned for warm weather that the idle fuel mixture is just that far out?

    Mikuni Help

Don't mean to threadjack, but I'm having trouble finding info on how to tune these bad boys. I've got the triple setup on my '71 and now that the weather has cooled off I can't even get it started.
  4. As Tim said earlier, if you run a -3AN feed line then there is no need for a restrictor, as the smaller line is restriction enough. That's what I did on the second turbo setup with a T3/T04E and it worked like a champ.
  5. Yeah that thread talks about it in the manner that I used it. I'd never heard of putting one after the turbo as mentioned before, that's what I was curious about.
  6. This interests me. Is this something specific to the L Series motors? On my FWD SR20 I had to run a restrictor before the turbo to reduce pressure within the bearing housing.
  7. Cornelius, no kidding. I used to go there all the time. There was never anything going on in Lincolnton so we'd always go to Cornelius or Huntersville.
  8. No kidding, I've been to Cherryville a couple of times, I used to date a girl from there. I used to live right it Lincolnton, off of Salem Church Rd. What kind of parts do you pick up, and from where?
  9. I'll be going home to Iron Station, NC, about a half hour north of Charlotte. Not quite sure about the storage yet, still trying to work some details out.
  10. The plug wires say Belden, I think. Looks like I may be getting it shipped to NC in a few weeks though, so it'll sit there and wait for me to get there in December.
  11. I'm not sure of the specs of the rebuild, I'm still in the process of tracking down the guy who built it and find out exactly what has been done to it. I'll be digging into it this weekend since I'll have 4 days off, so hopefully I'll find some more goodies and no rust.
  12. Yeah I'm not too fond of the rear end either. It's way too square for a car with such rounded lines. And yeah, it is pretty low.
  13. Yeah it is in pretty good shape. Where on the carbs can I find some kind of part number or something? I'd like to know exactly which Mikuni carbs they are.
  14. there are some pics that were taken before i bought the car here: http://fairbanksforum.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=326 I'm gonna clean it up this weekend and get some better pics
  15. I'm Marc, and I'm the proud new owner of a pretty clean '71 240z. I've been searching for one of these cars for over 5 years now and I finally came upon a clean one that was worth buying (and I found it in Alaska of all places). It will get a full restore job, but I haven't yet decided on the powerplant that I'd like. That's why I'm here, to research different options and see what suits me best. Looking forward to seeing what info you all have to offer, and I can't wait to start learning more about this car.
