I've been into Zs since the first time I drove a 240z at around age 14-15, it was a package deal I was looking into with my dad (by both or none) in Santa Barbara. We went there several times and being new to Datsuns researched the heck out of it, I even fixed the wiper motor on one of them free of charge (no parts needed) cause I thought we were gonna get them. Oddly enough when we called up to go down again the guy got spooked because we went there like 2 times prior and one of the Zs had the smog taken out of it (this was before they were exempt) and he thought we were investigating him or something and didn't want us coming up again:unsure:. I wasn't even of legal license age yet but apparently I could've been a federal agent in some sting operation out to get him and his illegal smog setup .

Anyhoo I got my first one in 2001 through a friend who knew of another friend selling a 240z and he was kind enough to accept payments and even let me take the car on the spot with only having on me a little under half of what the price was. I've been hooked ever since and now on my third 240z (1st was stolen and now in Mexico, the 2nd hit while parked at home) with another 2 Zs in between one being a parts car and another was to be my dad's but he gave it to a good friend of mine when he realized he had too much on his plate and probably was not going to get to it. Which makes owning at one point or another a grand total of 5 240s between my dad & I. I'm hoping 3rd times a charm and that this Z breaks my streak of tragic Z losses due to theft and accident...time will tell .
