  1. i finally got my car started and the problems worked out with the usb adepter but I'm still having problems getting it to run right when i start it up it is missing prity bad and my wide band is showing rich spikes but if i rev it up the engine will excell good no misses no rich spikes until it comes back down then it will start to miss again. i tried holding it at a higher rpm but it would still pop and miss. all so i cant get the car even to run with my laptop unhooked it will just die it is confusing me because it's not a Constance miss I'm kinda stuck any thing will help thanks
  2. well i just got my car running relatively good for not being able to see what is going on with it i don't have a clue what is wrong with it i think i'll head over to radio shack and buy another usb adapter i was just wondering if anyone had any more ideas thanks
  3. everything works fine when i have it hooked up to the stim it only doesn't work when it's in the car can this mean any thing thanks

  6. i'm starting to get a little fed up with this thing if i have my laptop hooked up to my ms and turn it over after about 2-4 sec mt will go not responding so i cant see what is going on i have reinstall every thing and it didn't help i'm using a usb adepter off diy auto tune then i found out it mas dropping spark so i got the dizzy tested and replied now i have good spark but i still cant get it running i was wondering if there is some one i can send my box to to get it tested to try and narrow down where the problem is coming from i have ms v3 i running it on a turbo motor as per instructions on diy auto tune thanks

  8. i have a dizzy from a 82 zxt and there is a spade connector under where the wires come out what is it for? is it a ground? thanks
  9. i have my ignition is wired according to the diagram on the diy auto tune site. what can cause it to reset
  10. i'm having trouble getting my car to run right it's a L28ET with ms1 v3 when i start it up it runs very rught it is missing a lot so i took the coil`wire off so i could see how it was sparking. in is sparking good for a couple of cycles then it cuts out for a sec then it starts sparking again and it will repeat that for as long as i crank the car. that explains the missing but what could be causing it? has any experience something like this before? i'm going to get my dizzy tested this week ans shield wm wires. i also cant see if the ta ch in mt is going crazy because mt keeps going ni to not responding when the car turns over i'm gonig tf try to get a new usb adapter to fix that?

  15. i'm having trouble getting my car started and when ever i try to start it with my laptop hooked up to ms box megatune will freeze up and go in to not responding i'm using a usb adapter i bought from dyi auto thanks tyler
  16. it fires and revs up a little then it seems like the fuel is cut maybe when it gets out of cranking mode then when it gets back to lower rpms it almost starts back up again has anyone had any thing like this happen to them

  18. thanks for the input i think it is the timing though i think i might be off by 1 tooth on the oil pump shaft because because i cant get the trigger angle to go anymore then 40 BTDC so i'm going to check that out i will also try giving it more fuel thanks tyler
  19. i used the msq file he posted in the MSnS_Extra024s9 settings in jpeg format sticky not the file sharing sticky but maybe i'll try the one he posted there thanks for the info on the oil pump shaft i'll give that a shot this week end i wish i had more time during the week to messaround with it full time student + full time job = not much time thanks tyler
  20. i changed the req fuel because i'm using 440cc injectors i'm running ms v3 i put together my self i bought it from glens garage, '82 dizzy i bought off ebay the cap and rotor look brand new but i cant say if the trigger is perfect, i set up the dizzy and coil wiring as per the instructions on diy auto tune. i'm having a little problem setting the base timing i want to set it so the triggering angle is 60 deg but i can only get it to 40. when i have the timing mark at about 60 BTDC on the 1st cylinders compression stroke i can not turn the dizzy far enough to get it to spark. could this be because the dizzy/oil shaft is off by a tooth. i checked the cam timing it is good. when i have the tiger angel set at 40 BTDC and the dizzy turned all the way clock wise and crank it with a timing light on it is firing at 10 BTDC i just bought a new coil (msd blaster 2) and new spark plugs (NGK bpr7es) and it is getting a nice white spark i can't think of the spark plug wire brand but there new i have not got it to idle it hasn't fired for more then about 1 sec thanks tyler
  21. i made a post last week end that i was having trouble getting my car started and i said i didn't think it was getting fuel well this week end i found out that it is getting fuel and spark but i think my timing is off this is my first experience with megasquirt so i don't know if i set it up right . when i turn the car over it will fire for a couple of revs then it will pop out the intake and stop. I'm using msns-e I'm using mobythevan tune with different req fuel. does anyone have any suggestions does anyone live in Portland OR that has done this before that can maybe show me what I'm doing wrong thanks tyler

  23. i got to the point where it time to start my car up for the first time but it won't fire i have good spark and the timing is set right but i don't think i'm getting much fuel when i crank it over it sputters and sounds like it's about to start but it doesnt i don't think it is getting any fuel is there a way to check the injectors to see if there firing i have good fuel presser i'm running ms1 v3 440cc injectors custom fuel rail stock n42 block and head t3 turbo ms extra does anyone have any ideas if you heed any more info about my car just let me know thanks
