Jomz Shakes,
Sorry you are having so much trouble. I to have been thru this, with 2 differant Z's none the less. I came to the realization that pulling the motor was the only way to go. You can then get at the bolts, clean up the threads and replace the manifold gaskets easily. I did not put the heat shield back on. I had both manifolds jet coated. I then put the manifolds back in place. This was easy to do. Put the engine back in the car and I was ready to go. I hope this helps out.

Brian Kostraba in Bend Oregon is now suppling us with brand new rockers. Compared to originals they represent a weight savings of approximately 20%. I believe they are balanced as well. I hope this helps you.

I am trying to find a source for some black vinyl trim. This vinyl trim piece goes between the stainless steel window trim and the body of the car on the back quarter windows. The application is for a 1979/80 2 + 2. Thanks in advance for any recommendation.

I have no experience with Dupli-Color, however I have used SEM stain/paint for the interior with fantastic results. The interior is going on three years old after using the SEM product on the door panels, kick panels and other inside parts and it still looks extremely good. This is a D.D. By the way, I did follow the manufactures instructions to the letter by using their cleaner and prep products.

Scott M67 is offering some very valuable advice. Before using these products do a little reading on Isocyanate Vapor. This stuff can shorten your life. Are you old enough to remember the 1984 Bhopal, India tragedy that killed thousands? This is the same stuff. Be safe and good luck with your project.

Question: What attributes combine to make a quality oil filter for an engine, and based on your personal feelings how do some of the "name brand" filters rate?

Research "Reaction Disc" located in the brake section. I hope this helps you out.

Halloweeen Z;
What you describe sounds very much like a reaction disc issue based on my personal experience. I could go into detail, however it has been covered before. Use the Search feature looking for "reaction disc". Keep us posted of your progress.

You may have "rounded up" a bit, however poor old Paul is one step closer to the "Old Fart" camp. Happy B day Paul. Remember,in addition to Hybrid Z friends, Ibuprofen and Geritol will be there too support you as well.

Asking questions is a great way to learn. Read on.
A Block is a set of pulleys all mounted on a single axle. When rope or line is run through a block or a series of blocks the whole assembly is called a Tackle. It usually is a compound machine. Somewhat similar to a come-along.
