So jim what type of spray gun did u use?

So I fiquired out that those mirrors mentioned are motorcyle mirrors. That wasn't so hard , for someone to answer. However, I don't think thats what the mirrors are after checking them out. So if the owner wouldn't mind sharing , what are they, If you don't want to share , i quess thats OK too. Later bob

YA that what I am planning but do you have any in progress pics , I am planning on shaving the markers too, and actually the door handles and installing openers, if my son can source them, So are you saying use the fibreglass strains on all the car repairs or just the rear bumper?
thanks for the reply , I have been trying to find some pics for awhile now. ONly diff mine is a 81 and it has a offset line on the lower side which has to be dealt with,
here is a pic while I was buying it
btw how do I add captions like you did above to pictures?

hi ernie, he wouldnt make a mold for me, he already has one, and i could ask him to make you one but the shipping will kill you
bob, removed all the bumper's brackets, welded square pieces of sheet metal from the inside, did the same thing for all the wholes, then at the body shop, the guy did his magic
the skirt is cutom made by ''the'' fiberglass guy here in kuwat, i dont think you can buy anywhere.....
I was wondering if you put anything in there in case of an accident , I was planing a 1/4 steel channel across the complete back covered with sheet metal then finish it off.

how did you do the rear end , I am shaving mine and was woundering what the procedure is, yours looks good . As well were did you get the front skirt? or did your local make that as well?

where do you get those mirrors? whether there are cbr600 or cbr 929. Is there somewhere online to order them?
-
I am curious about the mirrors on the front fenders , where would you get those an are they legal in Nova scotia.
-
ya thats sounds good , i think mine will be different becauce it is a 81 , so its dented in quite a bit , i think i am going to place a 4" channel iron where the bumper was then place a rolled piece of metal over the whole area. I do have to make the sides with a crease as it is the body line front the rest of the fender. I will post as I proceed. I did the lower part of the rear passenger fender last night after I redid the tire well. it turned out good with my welder as I am now using gas opposed to just flux wire.

nice job on the redo, I am looking at shaving the rearend on my 81 , how did you do yours and do you have any pics, did you reinforce under the metal? and how did you get the side into match the new rolled rear?
thanks bob

I love the look of your yellow ZX. I remember seeing some pics of it a long time ago. Looks like your fiberglass work on the back cracked.. I did this , my first one craked just like that but The recent one I did all metal work, It's worth the time. Much more solid , will last forever....
do you ahve any photo that can guide me as to the best approach

I am looking for some help and ideas on how to do a shaved rear bumper on my 81 280zx
-
I am starting to redo my recently acquired 81 280zx . I am interested in doing it without a rear bumper (shaved) as well as front damper and side skirts. I seen one in a recent tread but I am unable to find it again . If anyone knows how to do the rear and can give suggestions , it would be appreciated

what is colour sanding? It certainly brought out the shine.
