  3. It says that the parts can be custom ordered. I think almost all parts on the rear end can be changed it would hopefully just be a lot of measuring and fitting to get it in there. I would just make a 4 link but I am not sure where to even start. I am an import guy and have not delt with or even looked at a 4 link. I would have no idea where to begin. Its not that I could not do it, just that I would just be worried that something would be mis measured and ruin the set-up. Is there maybe a web site or a book explaining in detail how to set up the back halving and the 4 link?
  4. Not to take away from the origional post but, I will be installing a 4 link 9" in the near future and am wondering how the full kit that summit offers would be? http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=CEE%2D1412&N=700+115&autoview=sku It looks fairly simple to install and would save a lot of headaches on setting up the four link. By simple I am not alking just a bolt in process I am aware of the time this will take I am just not sure that I could set it up properly building it myself. This kit would have almost everthing necessary to get the 9" in my car.
  5. Does someone have pictures of the process of adapting the two? Maybe just pictures of the cutting? Why is the boostwerx kit so much if all that you need is the adapter plate? Can you just use the Ross machining one?
  6. ok it is making a little more sense now. So then after you cut it and use the adapter plate the stock toyota bell housing will bolt on? after it gets cut do you just use all the toyta parts and get a custom converter? where can you get this hybrid converter?
  7. so which toyota bellhousing do you use? Is it a custom one that must be ordered or just the stock one off the 2JZ? Where can you get the custom torque converters made?
  8. Hey Justin I am in the same boat as you I have a TH400 that is being rebuilt for my 2JZ right now. I also have the stock 2JZ auto tranny. What exactly is needed to get the TH400 to bolt up? I know there are two options but neither really make sense on how to get it to bolt up. Do I need the ross machining adapter plate and then the custom converter or will a normal TH400 converter work? What about the flex plate which one is used?
  9. How did this Exhaust look, Sound? The links are gone I know its an old thread but not all that old.
  10. I have contacted Karim about a engine. I guess I will think again before I go with osaka.
  11. Thank you for the osaka link I just got off the phone with a friend that recomended the same people I may drive down there to see how things look. Thank you everyone for all of the help. I will for sure be buying a motor through one of the recomended people.
  12. The tiger japanese does look like a great website and I have seen a lot of people recomending them. The only problem that I can see is that there motors done have the ecu or a wiring harness. It might be worth trying to find the harness and ECU? I am hoping that I can stick with the stock stuff for a while. So the stock ECU and harness would be really good to have.
  13. Yeah shipping was $250 for me to a buisness address thoroug them. Was the motor and everything what you expected? it seems they have everything I would like to be checked and this combo is really cheap. I am not sure that I could find one around me that would have one for around the same price range.
  14. Yeah I know it is a really tough decision to get one online But I dont really know where I would go to get an imported one or even a american 2JZ. The guy does seem like he has a good record and that was why I was looking into him he has been realy helpfull and very fast response wise. I am also aware I have made arrangements with him to not even have the auto trans sent to me as I will not be using it with my swap. I plan on swapping in the R154 5 speed.
  15. I am going to be buying a 2JZ at the end of the week and I was wondering if anyone has had any experiance or has delt with this company. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-TOYOTA-supra-2JZGTTE-2JZ-GTTE-TWINTURBO-ENGINE-SWAP_W0QQitemZ330183614643QQihZ014QQcategoryZ33615QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I talked to the actual guy selling it he says they are all compression and leak down tested before they recive the motors and when they recive the motors again. Any other important questions I should ask him? Also how does the engine in the picture look does it look like everything is there? Thanks for any help
  16. I was actually just deciding if I wanted to get a fuel door behind the plate. I think it would be fairly simple to do and would look really clean.
  17. Well I just bought a panel flanging tool, I will be giving that a try a friend of mine just repaired a ton of panels on his car. The car looks really good I will give it a shot if it does not work I will go for the new roof.
  18. I actually just bought the same plans let me know how it turns out and how much the final cost with dies is.
  19. I am also thinking about shaving mine when I replace my roof. I dont think rain will be a problem as i dont plan on driving in bad weather.
  20. I have an 06 600rr with a ton of mods...
  21. I might throw a bid out on that one looks like a great deal any pics of the Kit on a car?
  22. I could really use a new roof right now but I am sure that shipping will not be all that cheap.
  23. I had someone say something along those same lines to me when I was trying to sell my bike. The spelling alone was enough for me to just ignore the guy.
  24. BY that I mean it has two pop up windows on top.
