Thought i'd show a few pics of the car not at my garage. Yes it does run. I just about have all the bugs out of it. Just need to tune it up a little, still running rich.

A few weeks ago z-dreamer invited me to send some pics over to the cadillac forum. At first they thought the engine was photo shopped, till i sent more pics. Heres the link.http://www.cowboyseven.us/forum/index.php?topic=2300.0

After a week of fixing little gliches like the drive shaft hit the rear sway bar, only in reverse and getting the cooling fan relay hooked up. I took it around the block for the first time. I did'nt open it up but man its hard to keep the tires from spinning. All went well, everthing worked and no vibrations. Tonight i set the float level in the carb it was running way too rich, hope to take it out this weekend if it dos'nt rain.

Here's a pic of the trans mount.

Check out this thread.http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=95139
The only thing differant to a small block chevy swap was the motor mount adapter i made up from 4x3" 1/2' plate. I used the stock cad rwd mounts and fabbed my own trans mount from the stock mount , just cut the ends off and welded 1 1/2" square tubing to the mount and 4x4 square plate in the trans tunnel.

Great looking car. I'm another roadster builder. I made my rear trunk out of a shortened rear hatch, skinned with a roof skin off a 2+2 i had around and filled in the sides with strips of sheet metal from a hood. I started with a 1972 240z i've had since 1973, so it was beat up pretty well, but once you start you keep going and five years later it was on the road. I had the six point cage welded in before i cut the roof off and tied the front and rear frame rails together with c channed from the scrap metal store. Iv'e had mine on the road for 12 years now, my 472z cadillac project has kept me busy for the last three years but i still love driving "toplsz" when the sun is out.

The holley is a 750 cfm on a stock manifold with 1" spacer. There's about 1/4"
clearance to the hood. This is a stock 69 edorado 472, 10.5 to 1 compression
375 hp@ 4400 rpm, 525 foot pounds of torque@3000 rpm. I put crane valve springs on the heads so it should rev higher than stock. I didn't think i needed any more power just yet. I'll sort out the bugs first. Should be on the road in a week or so.

I went to the garage today and got the paint number i was close. 2005 gm pass
car code 30 ppg number dbc904562 midnight blue.
-
The paint is 2006 gm pass car code 30. I'll post the ppg nbr next time i'm at the garage.

I drove it out of the garage today. All i have left is a few electrical wireing problems and rebleed the brakes. I installed a 750 holley with an adaptor and i can still close the hood.

It's a th400 trans with a 368 rwd oil pan. The motor mount almost sits on the original mount, i had to make a 1/2" plate by 3" X4" to space the motor mount ahead about 2 1/2".

This is a 3" ultra flow staight through. Im putting another two into one muffler underneath. I don't want it too loud.
-
All most there, just got my wheels and tires mounted last week. I got my wheel adapters monday and im working on the exhaust. Hope to have it welded up by next week.
-
Im just waiting for my wheels and exhaust hooked up and its almost done???

This car was given to me as a parts car and the 472 with turbo 400 i traded for some parts. I guess it if i don't rat bag on it, it should stay together. It was more of a " look what i got under the hood thing" ( penis extention with zipper up) small blocks are common and I like things different, my other car is a 240z convertible. This car will look stock from the outside except for shaved rear bumper and 240z bumper on the front, i just have to muffle the 3" exhaust.
-
Just got my spoilers from msa. Never had any problems with them.
-
If you want easy and good gas milage go sbc fuel injected. If you want different. Go caddy. Iv'e been working on this car for three years. It is tight and will only go in one way so you don't have to cut anythink. I guess you could put it on propane if you want cheap fuel.
-
Lots of room to spare. Getting the twin turbos under there will be tricky.
-
23 1/2 " without exhaust manifolds. 28" with exhaust manifolds.
-
I'm happy i didn't have to cut the hood or put a scoop on. I still have two inches of clearance. If i use the edelbrock 2115 intake it puts the carb up 3"
i'll have to cut the hood.

The ones i have in stock are the s12 w. Im sure i can get you anything you want.

I work at lordco auto parts in steveston, richmond b.c. and we can get them as a fenco rebuilt. about $70.00 canadian each. The ones i put on my car were new castings in the rebuilt box from a 91 toyota 4x4.

I used Mogg # 6558 , off a 1980's chevette front coil springs, for the rear of my 280z. Im sure they would also work on the front. Just cut them down to size.By the way, i have a 472 cadillac in my 280z and i run stock front springs cut a coil and a half.
