  1. I just got a 1982 280zx turbo. Just yesterday the turbo started making a slow squeaking niose at idle. It has ~15 oil psi at idle. The guy before me used pennziol 10w50 non synthetic oil. Am i going to have to replace/rebuild the turbo, or can i fix the problem by changing the oil, and adding some sort of oil additive like pro-long? I have no previous experience with turbos so any advice is welcome.

  2. My combonation is a l28 block with the dished pistons, and a l26 e88 head (came off my old blown up l26). n/a

I torqued everything exactly how it says in the book. I did celan the surfaces too. I put the engine together the second I got the parts back from the machine shop. Should i try another head gasket, or would it be smarter just to re deck the head and block?

  3. I rebuilt my l28 about 10,000 miles ago.... machined the block and head surfaces....put a felpro haead gasket on it, and now it leaks coolant at the head gasket. I want to replace the leaky head gasket and raise my compression at the same time. Would it be smart to put a metal head gasket on it, or am i going to be stuck with having to replace it with a regular one. I have never had any experience with metal head gaskets before.

  4. I have a late '74 260Z, 2.8 engine, 1981 5 speed tranny, early 4 screw su's, ported e88 head, bodykit, headlight covers. Its my second car and Ive had it since April of '06. Bought it for $600 with a 2.6l, flat top carbs and a 4 speed.... but thats all gone now

  5. Would it be very difficult for a electronic newbie to install these gauge faces? I am thinking of getting some now, they look really good.

EDIT:If you really wanted to do some work, you could get some illuminated needels out of a newer car, and modify them to work in your gauges. Just a thought.
