  1. I was curious what drag classes are available for 280z's with v8 swaps in them. The rules for the import series (Import Face Off and IDRC) don't allow V8 swaps so I would be basically barred from them. I'm in Vegas and PSCA is out here, i've read the rules and they don't say anything about cross manufacture motor swaps. IFO and IDRC allow motor swaps but it must be within the family. Say for a 280z I would have to put a Nissan made motor in it. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

  2. I got rid of the stock fuel rail and I'm relocating the stock fuel pressure regulator. My questions is which is the feed and which is the return? There is a fitting on the side which is straight and a fitting that comes out of the bottom which has a 90 degree bend in it.

     

    The way i'm running the fuel lines is:

    Fuel Pump --> Fuel Filter --> Front of fuel rail --> Injectors --> back of fuel rail --> FPR--> Return to fuel tank

     

    I've tried hooking the lines up both ways on the FPR and it the car seemed to run fine both ways so it got me confused.

  3. I have a pretty much stock 1978 280z I would like to later put a LS1 in. In the mean time I would like to do as many mods that I can and keep the car running before actually pulling the engine and dropping an LS1 in. Some of the things I've thought of are:

     

    1. Brake upgrade - Probably the Toyota 4x4 upgrade and a 15/16 master cylinder and maybe do the rear disc conversion

    2. R200 diff - From what I read everyone is recommending the one with 3.90 gears

    3. Electronic Tech - Probably gonna get an Autometer

    4. Better fuel pump - I'm guessing a 255 Walbro

     

    Anything else you guys can recommend I get done? I wanna try to get all the little things out of the way before I go and pull the engine because the car is still running good.
