  1. Goodness! From over 2 years ago! The gray 280ZX was sold back in October of 2007. The maroon one went up for sale back in April of 2008 and with no serious offers I decided to keep the car. The Epsilons were re-installed on the maroon car and it has a large box of new parts in the luggage area waiting to be installed. New set of Tokico springs and struts and stainless steel brake hoses and a whole bunch of new Nissan hydraulic parts. I have a couple of 300ZX's for sale though?? An 85 300ZX and my 86.1 hardtop....
  2. I have owned a Z31 for about six years now and they are great cars to drive. They can be expensive to maintain (with Nissan parts and good aftermarket parts) and 86.1 has had about 10k in maintenance and upgrades over the years. 86.2 has had about 4k in maintenance so far. Both cars have north of 230k miles on them. Here are my two 1986 hardtop twins.... and here is #2:
  3. Mark, When I complete my B.S. in Finance this summer I was planning on applying at both companies. How did you like your time with each?
  4. Henry, What trends to do you see in the L.A. basin this year? Thinking about relocating and unfortunately have fallen in love with Huntington Beach area.
  5. Do whatever you have to in order to keep that blue plate S130 going. Nice.
  6. Joe, Just as the stamping says I like to call them "Hecho en Mexico" wheels. I really need to remove the black paint from the wheel lips. I hate all black wheels.
  7. The seats in the gray car are factory. They were only installed on some of the '79 through '81 280ZX's. In the factory Nissan brochure for my '81 Nissan was listing my S130 as a "Deluxe" model. The black vinyl was more likely to be found in the '79 and '80 models. Alot of S130's that were shipped to the U.S. either had the low back bucket seats or these tombstone buckets but with velour upholstery. The all black mesh wheels are a no name brand and the only stamping I can find on them is that they were made in Mexico and the size is 16x7 with a zero offset. Currently they have a P225/50/16. The burgundy car has an old three piece Epsilon stamped out in 1985 and they are 16x7 in front and 16x8 in the rear. Currently the fronts have P225/50/16 and the rears have P245/45/16 and there is plenty of room to go wider. I sued to have the Epsilons mounted on the gray car and even with the Tokcio HP struts and Tokico lowering springs there is still room for more tire in the back. The fronts are about as wide as you can go with that wheel without grinding the spring perch or going to coilovers.
  8. Thanks 240ztt. I haven't really decided a firm number but I would be looking to get about $4k or best offer. There is a neat story but here is the brief: 84k original miles--of this about half of the miles were accumulated as the Celica was used as a dinghy (towed behind a motorhome). I still have the towing aparatus to back up the story from the 2nd owner. All records back to date of delivery at Tenny Toyota in Seattle Aug. 1972. Even have the original keys --two sets and a third set that I use which are copies. The original AM radio still works and is present. New calipers, rotors, brake hoses, brake pads. Extra set of new calipers come with the car. New silicone vacuum hoses (6) installed from Hose Techniques. New Toyota iginition coil. New trunk weatherstrip from Toyota installed 01/15/07. New Optima red top battery. New tires and the Enkei's that are on the car come with two extra spare Enkei wheels--same size, color, and offset for a total of six wheels. No cracks present on the dash; comes with dash cover--the fabric type which just lays over the dash. The seats are not ripped or stained or torn in any way. The carpet is all originial with no holes or other issues. It currently has NOS red AMCO rubber floormats which I found on ebay a few years ago. Some extra new parts that go with it : two sets of NGK wires, carburetor rebuild kit, new Toyota fuel pump, new radiator hoses and Nissan two wire type clamps. I am probably forgetting some details as this was unexpected. The Celica always starts on the first turn of the key. I have only put about 2,000 miles on it since I bought it back in December 2004. Since it gets cold here in the D.C. area the heat works like a champ. I know I will live to regret it if the car does find a new home but as my signature will attest I have too many cars and not enough time.
