It would be for the hot memphis summers to allow me to keep timing at the optimal position. Its a f54 block with stock bottom end and flat tops with an n47 head. So about 10:1 comp after the previous owner unshrouded the valves. Also I could then possibly get away with running a little cheaper gas.

Hey guys I don't post on here much but for the last month I've been wondering about this. Any one running it on dual weber downdraft 32/36 dgv's. Although I also know alcohol and aluminum causes corrosion . I haven't bought anything yet just asking some veterans before I waste time building a system and installing it.

After rebuilding the engine the usual smoking occured and died out. The ngine has about 1200 miles on it.# 2cyl started to burn oil after the radiator cracked and the engine ran a little hot but not for long. the spark plug is soaked and caked in burnt oil. Any info on what to do before I begin to cuss and moan while disassembling the engine would be helpful. Thanks guys

yea that was the one thing I was scratching my head about is the oil lines and how to get them back there but how much for one of those manifolds?

Anyone on the forum attempt this? I just got a new job and may save up during the summer collecting turbo parts. Im about to order the corkey bell book on turbo charging also so I can do it right the first time. I've looked at how other kits are done from STS just wondering if its gonna be more of a hassle then trying to find a turbo exhaust manifold.

Found it the crankcase vent was blocked causing it to build up pressure!

Yea I've been trying the broom handle trick but Im gonna jack it up tomorrow and listen around for it. If I cant find it Ill post a video of it running. Thanks for the help guys

So I got my 280zx back running with dual webers now the noise is a consistent rubbing sound that doesnt change with engine speed so its no a belt but its stumping my dad and I. The car runs fine but that dang noise has never happened before.

Well I did a head swap to up my compression a bit and put a 270/280 with the 112° lsa schniender cam in. Now heres my luck the efi wiring harness stopped sending fire to the injectors and now switching to dual weber 32/36 dgv's. Just wondering if its gonna act like a road racing cam and have little to no power for "semi normal street driving"

Yes I could go back to fuel injection but it will have to wait till I get a stable work schedule. I guess for now I'll look for an e85 pump and mix a bit in the tank. I guess one of these kits will be better off on my turbo diesel golf. Thanks for the insight guys
