Correct, that thread only talks about the early Maxima manifold, the one shown in the pictures I posted is the variable intake manifold, anyone else with the variable intake manifold have any input? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have searched about manifold choices and read the thread about the comparisons of the intake manifolds available for the vg30e but havent' found much information about the Maxima variable intake manifold vs. Pathfinder manifold. I'm asking this because a friend of mine with an 84 300zx is about to swap out his Maxima variable manifold and replace it with a Pathfinder manifold with that is port matched with a 65mm Ford throttle body. Theoreotically, while the Maxima has two butterflies it still has long runners to suck air through before air actually gets to it's destination while the Pathfinder's runners are almost as large as the Maxima's and have less area to travel through correct? Can anyone back me up on this theory or can provide any information on which one has a higher flowrate (stock for stock of course). Thanks in advance. I've searched and haven't found a definite answer but I apologize if this has been already been asked, can someone tell me how to remove the cluster in a 1983 280zx so I can install reverse glow gauges? Thanks in advance.
