  1. Hi Yhiz, Specifically which ground connection? When my car idles, you can hear that it is running rich. The problem starts when driving and getting up to 3000 rpms. It will not rev over 3000. If you take the oil cap off, the engine seems to idle normally. I also have a 7/77 280z. Do you have a resistor on the wire from the harness to the Temperature Sensor? Mine has a 680 ohms resister inline. This will be the wires that go across the top of the engine, by the fuel rail, to the front of the engine, they plug into the engine block behind the fan. Mine has 2 pairs of wires, each goes to a different plug, and a single wire that goes into the block. Thanks, Jim
  2. The Dorman pins are only for attaching the asembly to the frame of the car. The roller pin is totally different. I was not able to find a new roller pin anywhere. Hopefully you can reuse the roller pin with the new roller from McMaster-Carr.
  3. Late reply, but just found out these part numbers this week. Nissan Pins part# 80406-V5002 Nissan Pin Bushings part# 80410-01G00 Or from Advanced Auto Parts: the bushing and pin kit is Dorman part # 38397. www.mcmaster.com Part# 8491A202 - the roller Z Tech Tips Rebuilding Door Hinges on 1st Generation Z Car http://atlanticz.ca/...hinge/index.htm
  4. Attach a Fuel Pressure Gauge ($30) to the fuel line on top of the fuel filter and see if the the pressure is holding. Sounds like the injectors are not getting gas and it cuts off. If the gas tank does not appear to leak, take it to a radiator shop and have them boil it out. I paid $45 here. It completely cleans and strips all the paint and gunk out of the tank. If the tank is good, you can then use a gas tank sealer on the inside and repaint the outside. Many people attach a Fram G3 fuel filter between the tank and fuel pump.
  5. I would experiment by attaching something (hard plastic stick, etc.) to the back of the piece with the glue to reinforce. The glue may work better attaching the bumper piece to a support piece. Having the same problem with mine and am about to try that. Good luck, Jim
