ok. i sent him an email asking to cancel the driveshaft order for now. I'll mount the ls1 then take mesurements and all that good stuff. Or i was thinking of getting a custom aluminum driveshaft made locally. idk. I will see after i get his response.

the thing is the motor is still in there (l28) and i am picking up the motor from a 2001 camaro ss in a week. Also i cant really get to the car right now. Would it be safe to give him the same details as your car? were there any changes from 75 to 78 regarding the questions johns asking?

Sent my order to john the other day because my ls1 swap is finally under way. We've been shooting emails back and forth and he asked me some questions that i cant really awnser because the car is not at my house (tried to search but came up with nothing). hopefully someone knows this and can help me asap so i can get back to him. heres his email questions Crossmember - 2 bolts securing it to the body are parallel to the ground and fit in 4 ears that protrude from the tunnel ? - -------- Differential flange 8 or 10 mm bolts Pattern is square or rectangular? Pilot diameter is 50 mm or 57 mm ( this is the recess in the flange that the driveshaft fits into) thanks John The car is a stock 5/75 280z with the stock r200 3.54 diff by the way.

i think that might have something to do with it. when i shaved mine off completly i noticed that the fumes did go down a little, not much thou.

has anyone mounted cobra seats in they;re z? Im able to pick up a pair cheap and was wondering if they would work. they look like this: oh yea and please include pics.

yea it was absolutly flush. i just kept welding until it was flush (or close to it) and then i grinded it away so it was completly flush. Heres a pic in progress.hope this helps

haha i stil have that code memorized too haha. that game was awesome. about the key thing yea i can take my key out with the car still running haha. well since the idea of key switches came up. anyone used an OEM switch off of another car or a universal one in they're z? mine really needs to be go soon.
