Got a few new hands at the shop tonight and got ALOT of work done in such a short amount of time. (You guys rocked!!) Z-Crew, part 1, Signing in..... Wh00p, clean metal!! Before we took the dash out, we noticed the air vents had duct tape on them. WTF. We found out why. There must have been rodents living in there at one point, EVERY air duct was absolutley packed with various leaves, dirt, etc etc. EWWWW 'nother view Took the windshield out. I was really uneasy about the idea, and I said I wasn't going to, but it came out with out a hitch! Ah, a break Touch the Datsun if you like girls!! ( Hey Jordan, why are your hands in your pocket??) New frame rails, coming to a Dastun near you .. (they're actually pretty solid, haven't even started "honeycomb"ing, but, plans are to build a chassi

Take a seat See all that rust on the floorboard? All dust rust, everything ended vacuuming right up! Floors are solid as a rock.

Spent some time at the shop yesterday tearing more apart. Used my girlfriends camera which didn't play well with the lighting ( if anyone wants to brighten these up that would be GREAT) But first, in it's former glory, here is how she say the day I bought her.. Driving it around the shop.... kinda Vroom! Yay for parts!

Plans: * Rotissarie restoration (Building the rotissarie at Mahany welding, then bringing it to the shop) * Paint it blue, not decided on actual kind of blue * Staggared, deep dish 18" wheels, maybe 17's in the front if I can get them that way * just a subtle widebody * shaved bumpers * Black cloth interior, new rugs, seats etc etc. Havent decided if i want to do any fiberglass work on the inside of the car, but I'll probably end up making use of carbon fiber in some areas * Engine wise,this year is all body, in the winter of 07 it will go back undet the knife for a gto engine.

Hey Hybrid Z! I've been working on tiny project for the past 2 months, alot has been done this far, so I'll copy/paste everything over, and continue to add I go along. ^ haha I hear ya man. I'm bustin my balls alone to get this thing drivable by mid summer. I'd LOVE throw the ls2 in there this summer as well, but I'm very realistic with budgeting what I can afford and how much work I can get done by summer. I can completley half-ass the body to make it look nice, but someone already did that and spent all of last night literally chipping away at about 1 inch of bondo that ran the length of the rail under each door. Friggin slackers, the rails weren't even that bad! I'm getting pictures together now to start a thread in the builds, I'll copy a link over here and post up some of my other rides

Hey gang! Just figured I'd post up and say Hi, signed up a while back but forgot about it the next day. Working on the restoration and buildup of a 77 Z . Headed to the shop to work on it now, but I'll be back in 3 hours to give you lots of pictures and updates in the build section. In a nutshell; Name is Adam, I'm in Rochester NY, where every Z is rusted to the bones..err...unibody. (any other Z'ers around here?) Got the Z two months ago, it's down to it's frame right now. Plans (i'll elaborate tonight); Rotissarie(sp?) resto - all new metal, frame rail extension, beefed up, and any other structural mods that will support more TQ to the chassis(that's what I joined here looking for) This year it's gonna be all paint and body, get that squared away then winter '08 will be the LS2 out of a wrecked GTO. This year I'm throwing in a KA24DE I already have, I wanna drive the damn thing. EDIT: My Hybrid Z build thread.
