  1. My opinion - depends how you want to do it. If you want a top of the line job from someone that has the experience and not to mention innovative parts - like billet motor mounts that use stock rubber isolators, huge custom 4 wheel brakes, suspension tricks, custom ECUs, manifolds and the list goes on and on.

See Rob at ZcarGarage - check out his blog as well - you will get some ideas of what's happening - he is actually putting together 2 outstanding 240 RBs right now.

Call Rob and tell him that BEHEMOTH's dad told you to call - that's the stroked RB he's building for me.

  2. OK - here's a different one for you. I wanted to keep the stock gauges with the RB - did some research and bought:

    For the Speedometer

Bought an "X-box" that coverts the electrical signal from the transmission side to the stock mechanical speedometer.

    For the Tachometer

Found a small printed circuit that takes the ECU signal and adjusts for the stock tachometer.

Just a different approach - a little costly but I wanted to leave the stock look.

  3. Thanks all for you opinions - in reference to the "hi-jack" I had asked for suggestions on a master engineer builder and if anyone had experience with a stroked rb25DET -

    Thanks Stealth-Z

Not trying to be a hard ass just looking for a machine shop that someone has had a good experience with. If you guys don't know then who does?

  4. OK - did the searching and really can't find a specific answer. I've started the RB25DET swap into the 71 240Z - what I need to get some feedback on is - does anyone know of a master engine builder in California (or elsewhere) that can do the stroker kit (Crower)? Anyone on here done this? results? recommendations? Appreciate your input - thanks
