well i just needed to know if there was something that would make it completely impossible. i've never attempted anything like this at all, but being in a maintenance company, i have a lot of friends that can help with every part of the install. thanks so much for all the input!

OK everyone, I've seen some posts, but nothing definitive. Anything stopping from putting a 5.6 into a 280zx? Ive got an engine, tranny, pcm, and wiring harness lined up for $1500, and a bunch of people helping me. Please gimme some answers, oh gods of the Z!

well actually the body kit was on the car when i bought it...the only stuff i really had to do to the car was a high flo cat and exhaust, paint, clear lenses, new hood, rims, and window tinting.

this may be a dumb question..but is there a pure black interior? right now mine is black and silver, and i'd like to make it all black.

Here's the latest update to my car, just got it back from the paint shop yesterday. they still gotta buff it, but i think it turned out pretty nice. Id love some input!!

hey ya'll.....i daily drive mine and I get 30-35 miles to the gallon. It's in a shop getting painted right now in Columbus, but yeah, I drive it every day. and every other weekend I'll be making an 800 mile round trip to Charlotte, NC.

there are some pull it yourself junkyards, but none really have anything this old. it pretty much sucks. i just found a speedo cable on ebay, but how much would you want for yours BSD?

well unfortunately most of the local junkyards ive checked dont even have any of these cars anymore!!! i called around to them while i was in columbus GA and no one had one. ive asked some people up here in PA and they doubt anyone will have any, but im gonna make calls today. i was just hoping someone would have it on a parts car that they dont really need. appreciate the info though!!

Hello everyone! I'm finally back from Iraq and have done some work to my car so far. I got a keyless entry put in and an exhaust from a new high flow cat back to the muffler. While doing some work at the shop, I ripped the speedo cable going from the tranny to the firewall. I've been looking and looking at auto part stores and cannot find this part at all. Autozone sent me one for $12 but had the wrong end on it for gonig to the second cable at the firewall. The dealer says the part is no longer available. I've driven it from GA to PA without the speedo, but i'd really like to get it workin again. anyone happen to have one laying around or know where i can get one? On a side note, i took my car today to get a body work estimate. He told me he'd have the car for about a year to do a complete body work to fix everything, and it would be $6k- 10k. So i'm gonna wait to get off of leave when i go back to GA and find a place down there to do it for about 2k, but not a complete show car body fix. i'll post pics when i can. i am in need of a hood though, as it is rusted through at the very front. anyone have an extra or know of a place that has one? thank you all so much!!

it just sits over the original one. i dunno if there's a way to mount it to the original one or not. it seems kinda awkward. also its kinda wide, and the lid opens to the side, and thats kinda wierd too. i can show you better pics in about a month and a half!

hey ya'll...i saw a voltage stabilizer thingy on ebay for about 10 bucks. said it does a lot to help out the system. i dont know anything about it....anyone ever use one?

umm, i really don't know. that was in there when we got it. it just kinda sits there and keeps messing with my mirrors cause the switches are right there, so i actually just took it out and its sitting in the garage. it just sits over the regular center console, but not real tight or anything. i'll try and mess with it when i get back

hey nbesheer...i'm not sure really...i've been looking at some konigs that have the black center and chrome outside. i think it would look good on my car once its painted black. i mean, i like the wheels that are on it now, but they're pitted and stuff and it looks like there's some kind of coating on them that's coming off. sorry, i really dont know a whole lot about cars, just enough to not get screwed by a mechanic, lol. thanks!!

Hey all. My mom found this car on craigslist while i was getting ready to deploy and they went to look at it. bought it like this for 3500. put new brakes, filters, and fluids when i was home on r & r. my parents are going to have it painted and a new front spoiler put on. it's gonna be metallic black. i'm trying to decide what wheels to put on.
