Oops forgot to add that she does run a little rough when she gets to operating temp.

So my 280z is having this weird issue where when its cold itll run good have power. However soemtimes if i start driving it feels like the car hits a brick wall when i get to about 3k rpm(not sure of exact rpm because my rpm gauge does whatever it wants). But itll usually power past that and ill be good to go. then when it hits operating temp the car will have that loss of power feeling again and eventually it will just stop putting out power and backfire like crazy then die. But if i wait 5 minutes itll fire right back up and drive as if nothing is wrong. Im just curious if anyone has had this problem before and what their fix was. Sorry for the improper grammar, etc.

So i fixed my fuse link issue with my car however, now the car will crank intermittently. For example the battery will be fully charged and when i go to crank the car, the battery will just sit there as if it has no charge. The starter will sometimes kick over and then sometimes the starter will just click like its not engaging all the way. One of my coworkers thinks its a bad starter, the starter is new btw. when the car is wanting to crank it will just keep cranking like its nobodies business and then flood itself. This problem has been plaguing me for the past month and i just want my car running again. If anyone has had this happen to them please share some insight on this. I'd greatly appreciate it.

So i found out that i need that fusible link thats in line. I am going to recover it from the trash and solder it into the system again.

Its a 77. I can hear something clicking when i hook it one way and nothIng when i switch them.

I was working on my z yesterday and i replaced the battery cables. Well i rushed it(stupid of me) and mixed the 2 wires that were hooked to the battery cables and i am trying to figure out how exactly its supposed to go. The car seems to be having trouble cranking over now, but when it does it just cranks. It has spark, and fuel. I really need some help on this problem because i need to get the car going before i get it painted.
