Thanks for the info, here's another angle. One of my pans also needs replaced, thanks for the link. I can't weld, so I'll have to ask one of my friends to do it.
I'll try to get a different angle in the morning, sorry it was hard to angle my phone and see what I was taking a pic of. If you look closely, there is a long crease going from the bottom right of the first pic up into the rusted area.
Sorry for any newb questions, but a mechanic told me my frame was "dimpled". He told my as long as I was planning on selling my car within 3 years not to worry about it. This is up by the engine. I took some pics (sorry they're from a cell phone) and was looking for advice. Is it repairable? The rest of the body is very straight, with a little rust in a rear quarter panel. If I let go of the steering wheel while driving, it will usually stay straight (if I'm on a level road).
Could someone give me some opinions on the 2.5in aluminized exhaust sold by zstore? I have an L28 na and was wondering if it's worth buying. I was also looking into their msa cold air induction kits.
Thanks.
I'm not sure where to post this, but here goes. What other languages does it come in? Also, is it possible to put in a new cd player and keep the voice?
Speeking of aerodynamic testing. . . . I made it to 120, and have since had the radiator, heater core and heater core control valves replaced. . . Now I can't go above 100 (limiter) and my engines temp gauge goes to halfway if I do 85 for one minute. That's why I was asking about the 3.1. I figure, well, I'm and idiot and ruined this engine, so let's make it bigger. (Had this car almost 2 years)
This is my 1983 280zx. It all original, na, 5spd, bought it with 64,xxx miles, it now has 71,xxx (daily driver).
Now for a newb question (might have missed it searching), how reliable is a 3.1L l28? I've heard the overheat easily while idling.
