  1. thank you... it seems that you have smoothen it quite a bit.
  2. hhmm couldnt found it. tryied both Greem and Green machine gets a new motor could you post link to it. here is one picture i smoothen the valve area and intake runner. its not ready needs a bit polishing and valve job... but should i do more for combustion chamber?
  3. greetings i have read all the head topics from this forum and about ready to port and polish my n42 head some small basic stuff nothing fancy... if you can post pictures about your n42 heads i can have some references in n42 what part needs the most grinding or can benefit the most from grinding? i dont plan welding chambers or chancing bigger valves engine is gonna be L31 stroker with webers and mild cam for street use.
  4. hi i have my L28 block ready to bore for KA24E pistons but pistons didnt have any paper with them how much "over" KA24E piston diameter should i bore so that head expansion for block and pistons is ok any recommendations? or what bore have you used?
  5. i wanna buy new or close to new clutch kit for 280zx turbo (240mm) diameter i can pay with paypal clutch kit needs to be sended to finland (europe) pasi.holminen@gmail.com
  6. how much lift i can go without valves hitting to pistons deck height +0,130mm gasket 1mm flattop pistons e31 or n42 heads if that makes any difference? or do i need to cut valve reliefs?
  7. i got my hands on F.E.T intake manifold for triples carburetor side is ok 45mm for my 45 dcoe webers but head side is only 30mm in diameter is that good or should i machine that a little bit bigger?
  8. old topic but need info what does this mean "The distributor needs a ported vacuum source, not manifold" just interested because i am installing triples soon... i have fet manifold can i use vacuum advantage?
  9. recommendations about carbs weber or mikuni any difference? if webers dcoe 40 or 45? will 40 be good for 3.1 and 300hv? there are few sets on ebay every now and then
  10. still needing those i can pay with paypal.
  11. i allready have e31 and n42 heads so yes atleast for my first build
  12. yeah been reading those i think i go with that 1.5mm head gasket that gives me 10.77 compression and for cam i was thinking http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PEM01/10-2000 and there 10-2002 or 10-2003 any ideas or recommendations?
  13. thanks for that calculator! it says compression is 10.77 with 1.5mm gasket i think that would be ok for pump gas or is there possibility to increase compression to 11.5 or somenthing if i use correct cam... and what would be correct cam for wide powerband and that compression? we have here in finland 98 octane i believe its ron? is that about 93 octane us gas? my headbuilder said that exhaust valve should be increased a bit to 37mm intake should be fine at 44mm +basic porting of course. What you people think about that? pistons are standard 240sx believe those are cast not forget and head is n42
  14. hi all i know there are many post about these builds and i have read most that i can find but there are few questions still remaining... my bottom end is -n42 89mm bore -ld28 crank -9mm 240z rods -240sx pistons with 2.8cc dish i have read that compression with those parts and 2mm head gasket is 10.14:1 i am planning to use 1.5mm head gasket and then piston to head would be 0.9mm which would be better according my head builder? any danger that valves hits pistons? can anyone calculate what would compression be using 1.5mm head gasket? and what camshaft (and where to buy) would be best for that compression? car is for daily driver occasionally little race so i am looking wide powerband max rpm 7000-7500?? first i am planning to drive my ztherapy su:s with sm needles and when budget allows go to tribles i have msa 6-2-1 header also ready with 2.5" exhaust
  15. hi all i have read many posts from this forum but still need few advices i have -70 240z with original su"s my system is this is it ok? original fuel line from tank to filter and then to pump both are located in engine room then malpassi fuelpressure regulator(with gauge) and then fuel line to carburettors and original return line back to tank. car was project when i got it so i dont know original fuel system configuration i dont need any emission control systems etc. my problem is that i cant get any fuel pressure 1. is my FPR in right place? 2. is there some FPR regulator in the original system? pipe diameter etc that keeps pressure right to su"s? 3. can i get any pressure to carbs with this system if my fuel pump just circulates fuel right back to tank trough return line?
  16. i need early 240z choke cables and throtle cable assembly. my email is pasi.holminen@gmail.com
