  1. I actually have this.. I just don't like how it sounds like a diaper under your feet in the car, Never thought about putn' it under the car...
  2. I think i'm just gonna rivet in an AL heat shield under the car.
  3. How can you say that? Everybody loves my 2+2 smoother sleeker lines than the Z's Plus i have storage for stuff! -Ed
  4. they make metal and fiberglass widebody flare kits mike. It's really not an issue, just make sure you buy a 74 and up model (long wheel base) pre 74 (the years i want) are a shorter wheel base and have the curved hood. Since your going to scrap the engine anyways look for a 75-77 those are the most undesireable 911's to have as the 2.7 litter liked to self destruct, however I shouldn't have to tell you this. Carrera models have the wider rear flares, turbos are even wider. Like I said though, it's really easy to weld on some fender flares bro, plus then you can go as wide as you want. Just makes me want to cry to think of a 911 being destroyed for domestic pleasure ---die hard 911 enthusiast--- -Ed
  5. I had a horrible experience with them that basically ended in threating them with a lawsuite. Sadly enough this was the only way i could get them to fix what they screwed up in the first place. Be Cautious, however i would not recomend them unless you live in Cali. -Ed
  6. might wanna stay away from obnoxious bling and ricer wings and stickers, etc. if you dont' want it recognized easily, that sure as hell DOESN'T blend in -Ed
  7. you do realize, even if this car ever appears and is made and actually runs, It's only gonna take a couple months of racing before everybody in H-town knows about it Mike. I don't think the payback from wining would override the price of building. Just a thought bro. -Ed
  8. So i did some searches, came up with nothing on insulating heat inside the car. I know we had a thread before about vibration and sound dampening, but i do not recall any dealing with heat disipation and blocking radiant heat. I'm mainly looking at two options. Putting down a physical radiant barrier (RBS) or spraying down a barrier. Does anybody have first hand information? previously i used house carpet foambacking with al, worked pretty good, but on long trips got hot, and it absorbed water which i'm trying to get away from. I'm going to install boat (waterproof) carpet and want everything to be waterproof on the floor. -Ed
  9. I've heard of this before but have no real world experience on doing it -Ed
  10. I couldn't read the tires... what size are the rims? 9" or 10"? -Ed
  11. Looks like it might just about "miss" us from what i see in the news, however lookn' outside i see black clouds rolling in and winds pickn' up. Hope for the best. -Ed
  12. Mike, I don't have the garage space, but you can come up here if ya want, definatly more north and a more sturdy structure than you balsa house. Also... anybody is welcome to come stay at my apt or park thier car at my apt. Let me know if ya wnat.
  13. I'm headn't to my rents house friday after work to ride it out with my step mom. this is expected to be a cat 5 before 6oclock news tonight. I'm not worried about flooding up in the woods, just the winds, tons of stuff to break windows. I wish everyone the best. -Ed

  15. For all my Houston, Spring, and Woodlands brothers, be safe, start preparing, this is going to be BIG. I myself am stuck here as i work for a hospital on the North side of Houston. We live 30 miles North of Houston and are project 70mph winds as of now. -Ed

  18. Bump... it's either fix these things or back to fuel injection and sell of a set of webers. -Ed
  19. I myself am having problems with halfshafts on my L6 with tripple webers, any "secrets" you might care you share would be greatly appreciated, I'm a broke college student, but i'd be willing to throw some cash your way for the helpful info. It's got to be cheaper than replacing halfshafts all the time. -Ed
  20. as retarded as this might sound, I think if you run a larger 15" dia wheel in back say.. 225 and run a 16" dia tire in front with a 205 or 215 I don't think you'll have a problem with getting the front to turn in and sticking, just my observation. -Ed
  21. sounds like it just needs a good cleaning or the needle got nicked or dented slightly.
