  1. yeah i'm a lot less hypocritical as i used to be. i bagged, tagged and photographed EVERYTHING. LOL pretty rediculous took twice as long but was well worth it when it all came back together. just erks me that this happens. the auto god's must be mad at me
  2. i hear you on that one. i pretty much set this thing up to factory specs i checked all the lashes and even cam wear. this thing came apart and went back together like when i got it. which i can only imagine it's either a spring or a valve or something. i'm taking the head off this week. preciate the comment. tony
  3. ok so i just rebuilt my sr20det. it was sitting in a buddy's back yard for about 16months. i finished the build a while ago but never really noticed anything. before i even decided to crank it over in the car, i notice on the #3 intake valve you get some added resistance and then it "springs" off the valve lash. scared the sh#@ out of me the first time trying to find the problem. but i'm positive that's NOT supposed to do that. no other lashes or lobes do this. ONLY the intake and only in it's cycle. just need idea's i'm stumped. i'm probably going to just pull the motor out of the vehicle anyways to redo tranny. then probably take the head off. please help. tony
  4. hey yasin. i typed in your name and nothing came up. i found the place i could get my an fittings from. but wasnt sure of the size. if you can post a link to that thread i'd be very thankful tony
  5. yasin that's what i wanted to hear really. i found a "diy" on making them on nico but couldnt figure out the "key words" to get one on here. how hard was it? did you need any tools besides a cutting tool? tony
  6. honestly ya, it's really just to clean up the bay some more. i'm going to need to do this again when i get my inline fuel rail so i figured i might as well get some practice. but i didnt think someone would make that big a deal of it. so i would need to tap an inverted flare fitting and a banjo bolt to run a -4 fitting through there?
  7. i was doing the intake/exhaust on my l28et today. and also fitting my n42 intake on and while the manifold was out i took the oil line to a local race shop here in town. anyways, long story short. the guy flipped out and wanted to rig something up because it was "some metric size" i dont know much about AN and NPT fittings and what not. but what would i need to get this line made from the turbo banjo bolt to the oil pressure sender? if anyone has any links to premade units i'd be interested. tony
  8. ok guys heres the situation at hand. i checked the oil dipstick today while i was putting some gas in her and i noticed it was thin. i smelled it and i wreaked of gas. i know that if i'm rich the residual gas can dilute oil in the combustion chamber and cause excessive ring wear i'm not sure if it is the injectors or not aside from the ether test whats another good test?
  9. right. that's exactly what i was planning on doing i was going to use ether instaed of carb cleaner. should be a little more "reactive" idk. lol
  10. hey well i sprayed around the intake and injectors. the car bogged down really fast. i'm sure theres a leak in there. the injectors WERE removed at one point i think it could be leaking by either the injectors or the intake manifold gasket.
  11. absolutely duo. yeah i'm getting another CHTS just to be safe. i've had enough water temp issues with this car, i dont doubt that that one probably got burnt out. also plan on changing the o2 along with all that. i figured it's been in there long enough and it's about time. also as far as the fuel pressure regulator, i'm planning on getting a pallnet fuel rail and was going to change it then, so if it IS bad hopefully it'll last another few weeks. *shrugs shoulders*
  12. lol its cool man. a lot of this came in handy either way. kind of gave me a train of thought, so to speak. still have got to work on her but i at least have an idea now.
  13. so are they bullets from the cylinder sensor? is that what you're saying? hmm if so i didnt notice them. lol i'll take a look before work tomorrow. the new plugs should bide my time for a little while, but i really dont want to run it like this. thanks nav. i do appreciate that. and silver, man i totally get what ur saying. i could have sworn by that one wire sensor. but who friggen knows. lol but yeah i'm going to spend my next day off gutting all the sensors and connectors for scum and grime. hopefully i get what i want out of her. thumbs up.
  14. ok well like i said prior. it's pretty rough and it's pretty recent. so i may just take a swing at the o2 i figured the ecu's on the zxt's were a little diff. but i really am not sure with these cars.
  15. yeah my injector connectors were pretty raged so i cleaned those up pretty quick. i had an old timer who was a factory mech at nissan when these were big. he told me to use battery cleaner and "fabricate" some tools out of a paper clip. he said he made a set in the 80's but time took hold and he lost em' lol. not so much about top end. but it's the torque i'm worried about. i dont seem to have the "power over" like i used to. i put her in a few events when i first got her. and what a beast. it was EXTREMELY fun. that's what i've been working to get back. but def a good add there hyuri.
