  2. Well I've read it but I guess I didn't understand it fully. I'll try to make it all the way through it again tomorrow if I get time.
  3. Hey, just wondering, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the bypass if that water doesn't go through the radiator, just right back into the block? I'm not 100% sure that's right, correct me if I'm wrong. Is there any way you could just run it to the upper housing [tap it I guess] and dump it after the thermostat, that way it still goes through the radiator?
  4. Looking great! I did that to mine and it fixed my charging issue. Getting the Amp numbers off the Atlantic Z car site - The Beige fuse is 80 Amp, the Green is 30 [like the fuses that come with the Scoche block] and the Reds are 50 Amp. Just letting you know Here is the only picture I have:
  5. I understand how to read plugs. See this please v Seeing as you don't know much about his setup, maybe you should read up on the motor before posting? From the Original Post: He's got a CAS Dizzy and a Turbo block, not an N/A dizzy and block. Please read the OP thouroughly before you post. He's been using MS for a while now: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=136198 And has a wideband: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=120990 I mean how many people have overheating issues with running lean or advanced spark? Most people blow head gaskets or damage their motors. Sorry to hijack Zmanco, hopefully this is something easily remedied.
  6. PLEEEEAAASE do an LS7... I really want to see it done!! They're only 14k for a crate motor! http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/EngineShowcase/index.jsp?engId=LS7&engine=LS7&sku=17802397&engCat=ls And then you can beat the LSX M
  7. Why would that make it overheat? Can you pull the plugs for the bypass and get a flashlight to see if you did any damage? And pull the spark plugs to see if there's any coolant still in the cylinders if you're worried that that might be the case. My Z31 overheated after I changed the alternator, it turned out just to be a bubble in the system.
  8. Phleb - Turbo Dizzys have Crank Angle Sensors, no vacuum advance.
  9. From: DIYAutoTune.com Shipping Dept. to FlatBlack280 A package will be shipped to you on 09/10/2009 via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail to the following address: Mat Peck XXXX Buckingham Ter Springdale, AR 72764 I have been talking with Russ at DIYAutoTune throughout the entire process, he was very helpful and was quick to respond to my questions and to get my order filled. It is a superb site, I highly recommend it. Now if it could just make it here by Saturday...
  10. Haha "Maple or Sage? That is for Northerners. I'm a Texan. Jimmy Dean is for Southern people."
  11. Haaaaaa BTW That's Kiev, not me [From this video:] This is me:
  12. I searched for it myself yesterday because I didn't know the answer and couldn't find anything
  13. Well... Here it is. Freeee help. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=118512&highlight=injector+list
  14. Um... I read it twice. I was baffled how you bypassed the ENTIRE megasquirt section of this very website. [Read the stickies first] http://forums.hybridz.org/forumdisplay.php?f=88 There is also a turbocharger section http://forums.hybridz.org/forumdisplay.php?f=70 I have no idea what you were searching for but I also just wrote this very basic write up for turbo'ing your N/A L28E http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=153195 Sorry to be off-putting but there is no spoon feeding here. If it makes you feel better here is my first [and quite newbish] post, at least you weren't a prick like I was haha. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=139635
  15. So you are buying MegaSquirt to fit your injectors? Do you even know what size they are? Do you know what size the L28ET's injectors are? You really need to search. There is an extensive thread about what injectors will fit the EV-1 connectors that the Bosch L-Jetronic system uses. You mentioned Hondas, Megasquirt, L28E, turbo, and ZXT ECU all in the same post. You are the perfect stereotype of a newb
  16. That's why I didn't include anything about EFI specifically in the 'write-up.' If they have to ask about MegaSquirt, they don't want it bad enough ...or probably shouldn't be doing the swap because it requires alot of knowledge that can't be spoonfed as every setup is unique to some extent. If you can't even locate the Turbocharger or MegaSquirt/other EFI section of Hybrid Z then you need to go back to working on Hondars. It's been said a billion times before, this site isn't for teaching newbs how to work on cars but rather enhancing the performance of the early Z cars. The N/A to Turbo swap is really easy to do if you know what is going on, but I wrote that thread as a jumping off point for new-to-Z guys who wanted all the information in one place, that way instead of saying "Go Search" we can just say 'Go read this or the stickies."
  17. This happened to my passenger side headlight, check the connection of the connector from where it goes from the light through the fenderwell to the main harness. I plugged that in better and it fixed it on mine.
  18. As a side note, my roommate's 2JZ head was sitting on a bench at the house and Bob and I were talking about seeing if the 2J head would fit on an L28 because the cylinder bores are so close. So, I grabbed an old gasket from the shop and slapped it on there. Unfortunately the L28's cylinders are spaced out farther so the 2JZ head is too short. Can't wait to see the 3.6 AMG swap done Bawb!
  19. I'm kind of in it! Flat Black is in the top left corner of a tiny picture of a wide shot of Branson Z Fest's car show. TrumpetRhapsody's 260Z is two cars to the right of mine.
  20. Looking great, Dave!! Glad it's back and not totaled out.
  21. Got it! I'm heading up to the shop today to get the pigtails and the switch.
  22. Whoo!! I just ordered a MSI V3.57 board from DIYAutoTune. I had them put in the ignition driver to use the BIP373 to drive the single coil off of the CAS dizzy, and I also had them add the circuit for the Knock Sensor through pin 25. I also picked up an L28ET from Ed this weekend, my roommate Nate went up with me and we brought it back in the Z31 [we hauled Chris' L28ET in the Z31 as well ] So... I'm really ready to get back into this project and wrap it up. there's still much to do, hopefully by the time the board gets to me I'll have the car ready to go. Thanks letitsnow for buying my old board, that really helped, I wasn't planning on spending an extra $400 when school started I took the Z31 on a cruise with some friends yesterday, it's really been an amazing car and I'm growing quite fond of it. Unfortunately I can't cover it with my full attention and extra resources as the S30 is the main focus now. I really miss my S30 but hey - Dailying a turbo Z car ain't bad either
  23. Eh... It's Mat. Good to see you, Ed! Thanks for all the stuff, I'm packing up a box today to send you all of the stuff I forgot. Cheers
  24. I like the guy at the end running with the box Light beer sucks, by the way. Old Rasputin FTW
  25. I have the one you want, waiting to hear back from you.
