  1. I have pieced together a linkage that has a much more progressive feel than the cable unit.

    73 Fuel tank removal

Removed the fuel tank today in preparation for moving the car into the garage for major rust repairs.
  3. Hoping to be able to patch rockers with some shaped metal rather than the whole rocker replacement..
  4. Floor pans need to be replaced. I believe upon further inspection and probing with a big screwdriver today, the frame rails look pretty good. At least from the outside! Car will be soda blasted sometime this winter then I will know for sure...
  5. Need to go through both front and rear brakes as they do not work. Car has been garaged for 8 years, I believe. not licensed since 95.

    engine-1

Motor runs, but needed fuel filter and pump (I think) to run, will be solving this problem in the next few days.

    interior-2

Interior is as I purchased the car ! No cleanup or restoration has been started...
  8. Thank you members of the Hybrid Z forum, I spent lots of time browsing this site gathering info on Z projects. Most all of the info was very helpful in giving me an education about early Z cars. I have found a project car (73 240 original motor and transmission, running car,) that has fallen victim to rust. I will need to hone my welding skills but I look forward to the challenge! All of the work that most forum members have done to their cars is great motivation. JT
  9. Welcome to rust repair!
