i hate low ballers. I dont even call to make an offer i give him what hes askin for, unless its not worth it to me. So theres me again expecting everyone to be like myself. $1500 is what i nedd and i need it asap i guess its not a quality post unless you lie like everyone else. i should have listed all the crap that cost over 4000 just ionto the truck last year, and said i bought it all at retail price but i thaught the less the better all the crap they list is ussually b.s. anyway
It's very confusing to try to read what you're writing. Try to not rant and take your time to convey the meaning of your thoughts.
should you have listed "all the crap that cost over 4000 ionto the truck last year?"... yes... how is anyone going to know it's on there from the pics you've posted?
You just posted on CL yesterday, be patient... repost with more pics, list the work and additional "crap" on the truck and change the price if you think it's worth more. If you need a quick sell because you're in a pinch, then state that. Buyers love it when someone needs to offload something quickly.
just my $0.02

I made my own mounts that tie into the 10mm valve cover bolts, strong, simple and cost about $1.00 and took 10minutes...I will post some pics later tonight.

I'm interested in checking out this set up... I'll check back later tonight.

thanks for all the input, I can always cound on this site for great advice and sound technical discussion...
It depends on what you are doing with the car.I hope to go for about 300hp and use it for a weekend driver, no track or autox time.
IMO, if it is a 400rwhp track car I wouldn't even think about stock brakes or Z31 brakes. If it is has a mild engine and see's only street and auto X, I would run stock brakes with a decent pad. If it is in between or has boost, I would atleast run the Z31 vented/ toy caliper. I wouldn't even mess with a solid rotor and Toy caliper. The problem is the solid rotor.thanks again!

I hope to get started on my motor build this summer and use this type of turbo setup. Of course I won't be boosting much at first. It will take a little time to get the boost up and get the turbos and EFI tuned together.
so, how's the build coming? did you ever get going on this project?

After reading up a bunch on brake swaps for my 240z (the brake sticky and the FAQ by jmortensen), I'm confused. The jmortensen says stock brakes are good enough, yet everyone upgrades.
This is just slotted.I don't think you'll notice any difference. You would be better off with a race orientated pad or going with the Z31 stuff Jon mentioned.
So would slotted and drilled make a difference with the stock calipers or is a better set up either the Toyota swap, toyota vented or the Z31 set up? I need to buy a new master cylinder anyway, so I'm thinking to get the 15/16 master cylinder for a brake upgrade. I know i'm going rear discs for sure.
What would be the best bang for the buck then for a weekend driver, of course in your opinion? slotted and drilled for stock or TOyota 4x4 solid or toyota vented or Z31 set up or full aftermarket (e.g. wilwood)?

Mmmmm...looks like the stock radio is still there! Barring any rust nightmare, I think you got agreat deal!
Thanks... I've taken pictures of all the spots where I've found rust, even after getting under the car to change the oil, no rust on the frame rails. I'm happy for sure

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but since we're talking antirust coatings I thought I might bring it up.
Anyone know much about MasterSeries products? (http://www.nomorerust.com/ & http://www.masterseriesct.com/). I've only seen and heard good things, but I don't see it mentioned much on here. Most rust conversation is dominated by Por-15 and Zero Rust. I guess this Master Series stuff is used on steel bridges and industrial applications. Looks legit to me. Any thoughts?

Looks great!
What do u have planned for it?
Thanks! I think I'm going to do the L28ET swap (nothing very unique) after a brake and suspension upgrade... it's my first project and want to start that doesn't require too much fabricating and that isn't TOO imposing.
I'm actually cleaning the garage now so she has a place in my home I think my girlfriend is going to get jealous.

Congrats an excellent choice in year/model.
It looks like a good base to start with the project.
If your not going to FULLY restore it, I would take a look at the common places for rust and treat them now so that it doesnt get any worse.
Something I should have done a long time ago...
Thanks Myron... I've been on here doing a lot of research and searching for everything imaginable. This forum is an invaluable resource. Any advice is much appreciated.
I've been following your project as well. Great work and keep it up to inspire me.

Been searching for a couple months now and i went and saw it and agreed to buy her today. Money will exchange tomorrow. It's been sitting for a while so it runs a little rough, but after driving her a bit, new gas, oil change and a new fan belt, she should run like a dream. It's super clean inside with very little rust Here are the pics that the seller posted for it... I'll have more pics tomorrow. I'm super stoked and can't wait to drive her...
Here you go:

I live in LA... should I go for it?
It'd be my first project car, but it has all the components that I wanna swap into my Z project.

I like the idea of having all that space under there. I don't think I was made to work on the floor, but because I have to, might as well try to make it roomy... you guys mean something like this?

doesn't look like it gives you enough clearance, but it's a start. Anyone have any luck?
