  1. I got a small world story for ya. I was at work yesterday (retro in loretto) talking with my manager Justin Mills saying how there was this guy that bought a car i was looking at and wakeboards. Any who i show him this thread and sure enough he knows you from motorcycling. Any who just one of those crazy small world stories. Oh yeah my names Devon BTW.
  2. man you are living the dream. I got a Malibu vtx and I love it although I'll never turn down a ride.
  3. I know this totally random but is your name related to super air nautique line of boats? I wakeboard alot over the summer and your name caught my eye.
  4. Thanks i worked 2 jobs over the spring and summer to get the money for it working about 30 hours a week. That car was without a doubt the nicest one i looked at i just didn't want to blow my whole budget on the car. Nice work on the bumper and front end. Awesome parts list by the way.
  5. 7,200 if i remember correctly. I'm only 16 so thats quite alot of money for a kid working for minimum wage.
  6. Nice car i looked at the same one back in june but turned it down cuz he wouldn't move on the price. How much did you end up paying if you don't mind me asking? I saw he had it listed down a $7,400 in august
  7. I already got racing lessons lined up for this summer. I've looked at a few different cars now a e30 325is and a e36 needing a new tranny both were really rough and the parts would make me broke. Also looked at some talon's but there reliability leaves something to be desired. Turns out my dad loves s30's and would probably help pay for a clean one locally or drive down south to pick up a nice one. I just love these cars to much to give up on the idea of having one. Devon
  8. yeah i've had a few close calls with the truck on icy and snowy roads. Doesn't take much for the back end to step out on you.
  9. Well you guys have me sold on the e30 BMW. Guess i'll have to wait for another day to build up an s30. To be honest i never really liked the 240sx always thought it was to ricerish. Found this little gem on craigslist hopefully i can go look at it this weekend. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/car/513193274.html
  10. The supra would be fun, but they are really hard to come by around here. I've found a couple e30's in good condition on craigslist, along with more 240's than you can shake a stick at. Guess i should point out that this would only be driven in summer since in the winter i drive the truck. How would a 325is with what ever common mods are available compare to a turboed(sp) 240 kadet, for auto crossing and occasional road track racing?
  11. Let me give you a little idea of my situation. I'm 16 and i want to buy my first car. I've always been interested in cars and i've always been a nissan guy. I looking for something fun to drive and take up to the local roadcourse. I don't mind a project since i can borrow the family truck when the car isn't running. Now for the hard part choosing a car. My criteria are as follows: Cheap- meaning not a BMW (less than 4K) RWD NOT A CIVIC I've got it down to a s30 or a 240sx. I like both but the z's are hard to find in good shape. 240sx Pros Tons of parts No restoration required Newer Cons Fugly w/o body kit kinda ricer ish s30 Pros Looks good Rare(er) Did will pay to ship simpler to work on (less electrical) Faster with mods Cons Rust!!! Restoration cost Parts are expensive Sorry for the long post but i need some help with my decision. I'm open to any other suggestions as long as they meet my criteria.
