  1. was looking at a 240z last night and noticed it was "wavy". sometimes not even noticeable unless looked at from a different angle. everything is structural sound. 2nd owner, well maintained. he didn't even notice it and I think he's being honest. I know the sheet metal on that year was weak- he says his wife was always putting stuff on there out in the garage. could that cause that? thank you. and no, I wasn't smart enough to take pics.
  2. Thank you. thats a lot of good information. I've heard it's best to have a guy that's been around these cars to work on them. Thanks again.
  3. used Google but unable to find a restoration shop in the L.A area that specializes in imports like the Z. Can anyone give me an idea about what the cost would be for, say, door panels, headliner, dash replaced, carpet... Haven't found a car yet, just like to have idea as I'm shopping around. thanks
  4. I'm new to the site, fellas. I had a little difficulty navigating around so I put my post up, not really sure where it would wind up. Didn't know I was committing such a drastic error by posting like I did. Not sure what "ban-worthy" means. If it means I should be banned then all I can do is plead for forgiveness, cross my fingers and hope for the best. Thanks for the nice replies I did get.
  5. I live in So. Cal and am looking for a nicely restored 240z. I have a 383 stroker that puts out about 450 h.p. So hopefully I can find one that's had some upgrades in the suspension and frame; but not too stiff, not gonna be used for racing. I'd like a Calif. car or someplace close. thanks
