  1. I am so sorry.Yo,or should i say Salaam or Hoe"gaandit or Molo?
  2. yo.if you talking about a box i assume cube with out a top and radiused edges.there are many ways to do this but without diagrams its hard to explain.i can make a card bord template an take a pic if you want.as for banging on a pipe that takes a lot of experiance so i suggest you find a pipe that is the radius you want then tack weld the plate to it.once tacked fix the pipe in a vice to sucure it.next force the plate over the pipe and gently tap with a mallet or slapper from the tacked edge toward the flat section of the plate.i assume you are working with 5 loose pieces.i can make up a small eg. if you want.cheers
  3. yeah,it looks like they welded in the ports to change the shape of it.the intake has a large amount of welding and porting too.the company that built it(car shop fort racing) no longer around so i'll never know what they were thinking or what they knew that others dont.when i get it back i'll post some pics.cheers
  4. yeah its good but way too agressive for what i want.i'm busy detuning it now, removing the det heads, dett upper intake and modified lower intake(needs a small weld was leaking)custom fuel rails sard 880cc injectors, custom stainless exaust manifolds, icebox.those things are for sale if you want.
  5. i have no idea what they were doing.but the engine's fully build to take what ever it puts out. i took it to a rotory workshop and then to another performance shop for a second opinion. the guy there did some research this is what we came up with. the motor was build as a experiment or they know something that others dont.any way i'm glad its in good condition and fort racing knew how to build a vg30xxxx.theres another fort racing build car in ozzy and its still running after all theese years. its a vg30det cima and did 10sec back the day in japan.
  6. i would never bother building a vg or any six but i bought this engine.bought the whole car(crashed drag z32 from japan).those were the mods.
  7. the engines fully build.greddy TDO6L2-20G,trust external gates, tomie procam(intake),hks282(exaust),sard 880cc injectors, tomie cam gears, fort racing tuned ecu and some kind of piggy back (looks like a fcon v pro but has no name on it).the motor was running 22psi but was leaking(the car has 2.5 bar boost gauge).its been geusstimated at around 1000bhp.oh and it has ported/modified intake with det heads.
  8. yo,i dont have a link to a drag site i have the engine.car shop fort racing was the company that build it. i have found out more or less what this engine is all about. still dont know much about the ecu.thanx for your response.
  9. what diffrence can be expected from a head swap on a motor(z32 vg30dett) with big turbo's,big cams, high boost and a ported modified intake ? if any. i'm trying to find the exact make up of drag engine build in japan.thanks
  10. yo,czecho i'm no expert or engine builder but this is what i know so far.from experience and reseach.13psi max boost safely on pump gas.nissan ecu can make high power when chipped for boost.500rwhp @ 1bar with only thiker gaskets and reground exaust cams and 440cc injectors.turbo size very important to prevent detonation caused by back presure.(experience) 500rwhp+ = forged pistons. some companies can custom make to order, one company has made them before but its not on the shelf item.escort makes them too donno if they have them in stock though. theres a few guys on nico that have stock boosted vh45 one of them has 446rwhp on stock everything and its been running for some time now.as you can see the motor can take allsorts of mods.the iuz can too but it does not respond aswell as a vh45.the only thing i know that better is ,it has less compresion so it can take 1 bar on a stock motor for a bit longer.but that does not matter cause at 1bar a lex makes about 400rwhp and a vh45 make about 500rwhp. cheers
  11. yo,im new here but ive done a few swaps on a 300zx.one of them was a 1uz.i can tell you from experience its not worth it in n/a form.i'm not trying to discourage you but a vh45 is much more powerfull, and theres a adaptor for this swap.allso lots of parts interchange with a vh45 swap.i do swaps for the fun of it so i know what you attempting but the only thing a1uz has over a vh45 is a bit more aftermarket. think about it the vh45 is just so much better.cheers
