  1. I need to replace my rusted kick panels on the Fairlady. I have all the replacement parts, but need a trusted fabricator/welder to do the work as some of the wheel well will need to be replaced with some sheet metal also. If anyone can point me in a good direction, I would be thankful. Thanks in advance, John edit: Here is a picture so you can see the rust areas.
  2. I think I am going to just have it reconditioned. That is further down the line though. Body work is first priority. See you sunday
  3. whats up bro? LOL, how you doing
  4. Im no electrician, so when it gets to that point I am going to need to find someone that is very good. I am thinking of having Just Dashes do custom gauges for me at the same time if I go with them.
  5. Dash looks good actually for the car looking that bad LOL
  6. I would be, but being you are all the way across the water makes things a little difficult.
  7. very nice, I knew they did dash covers, but didn't know they restored them also. I am going to be getting a quote from them for sure.
  8. holy crazy prices... I just got a quote to completely cover the dash in Carbon fiber for less than that...
  9. Im trying to find a source for interior parts for my 1975 Fairlady Z project. Motorsport Auto doesnt seem to be able to/ want to help me at all. If you know of a vendor or 2 please let me know. Thanks in advance John
  10. Well, some of you might have seen this is my introduction thread, but here is my project: 1975 Datsun Fairlady Z (Right Hand Drive) She is a little rough right now, but I have all the time in the world to get her back into shape. short term plans: -replace rusted body parts -remove spoiler and replace hatch -replace wheels with MotorSport Auto "FlashBack" 17x7 wheels -replace carpet and padding short/mid term plans: -replace all interior pieces -fiberglass the dashboard since it is cracked to hell and almost impossible to find a replacement -replace all gauges with modern electric gauges and custom cluster -replace all glass mid/long term plans: -remove engine & Paint entire car including engine bay -custom stereo system long term plan: -engine swap (either RB26 or SR20) -Forced Induction -Nitrous or if someone offers me the right amount of money I might just sell her. Here are the pictures. I just took delivery of her this afternoon. She was shipped to me from Virginia. She started right up. If anyone has any questions, I am a Mod over at my350z.com Let me know what you all think and give me some suggestions. This is the most indepth project I have ever attempted. My last project was a 2004 350Z with built low compression motor, twin turbos, full suspension, full in car entertainment system and much much more.
