I have a friend who is capable of doing arc welding, will that be able to pull of the job, or is arc welding just too weak. Also does anyone know how much it would cost to weld the area where the door handles go? Good point about welding it. Thanks

I just finshed installing a shaved door handle kit for my 240z, and wow was it easy, it only took 30min's tops. Here is my question what is the best method for shaving the handle's. I was thinking of filling the area where the hanle use to be with foam and fiberglassing over the foam, or claymold it first then apply fiberglass pop it off and insert it into the area where the door handle was. Please tell me what is the best method, and also keep in mind I have no clue how to weld(sad). Thanks

I bought z3 seats for my 240z thinking that it would fit since the measurements are almost identical give or take a inch. Now here is my problem when sitting on 240z seats they compress from 7inches to about 3.1 inches and when sitting on z3 seats they compress from 7.5inches to about 6.5. The problem is I hit my head on the roof. I was wondering if it is possible to cut off the seat mounts (front and back) without jeopardizing the stiffness of the chase. Also if it does jeopardize the stiffness, is there any way of getting these seats in the car.
