  1. yep, thats pretty tall! Thanks for the pic. Like I said, right now im just trying to gather some info and ideas for mounting.
  2. the question is will the intake manifold(not the plenum, the whole thing) or exhaust manifolds from the de bolt onto the vg30e? The exhaust bolt patterns looked the same, but I wasn't sure about the intake. While on this, does the gloria plenum require the gloria lower manifold as well? Thanks, if I missed this info in a search I appologize.
  3. I did a bit of searching and found tons of info on l engines, but came up a little dry looking for the vg's. I'm not asking how, I know it will be fab intensive, that is not a problem. I am looking for pics to get different mounting ideas for the vg30e. Also, does the frontier/xterra s/c manifold bolt on? That would probably be the easiest way. Any links to pics would be appreciated. thanks.

Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but the combo you went with will probably be okay if revs are kept to 6500 (your cam will probably actually top out closer to 6k, tho), and boost is kept to 6-8lbs. That is a good truck combo. You added stroke and shortened rods(based on a 350) which makes for a much less than desirable rod/stroke ratio. What does this mean, higher piston speeds at any given rpm and less dwell time at tdc/bdc, and therfore less piston acceleration. What you do get to get away with though is not running a small base circle cam or grinding the rods. I wouldn't be worried about power, the engine will make plenty. I'm just nitpicking and pointing out that the combo is less than ideal for a performance, high rpm engine.
